Thanks for the responses.

It wasn’t an altcoin wallet but in trouble shooting I ran -rescan and then the wallet showed a 0 balance so it must not have recognized a tx from before and therefore was an empty wallet.

I have so many wallets and mnemonics I’ve been trying to recover it’s a nightmare.  Esp with me writing down my mnemonics with chicken scratch handwriting.

I had a paper transaction history written down for BTC and LTC.  I was mining LTC at the time before my TBI.

So I know pretty close to how many coins I have but I have only been able to recover about 20 % of them.

Pretty sure most of them are on the this paper I have with an 85 character address / key / something.  Gonna have to start a thread about that just have to figure out how to do it safely.

Anyways thanks for the help guys.

It essentially means that inputs that you are attempting to use for your transaction do not exist (or have already been spent).

For "old" wallets this isn't uncommon... you may have an old "unconfirmed" transaction in your wallet, that never actually got included in the blockchain, and the coins used in it were subsequently respent in other transactions... so they no longer exist.

Another common issue, as suggested by SopaXT, is that your wallet is actually from an AltCoin... a lot of AltCoins use the same wallet.dat format as Bitcoin Core, and Bitcoin Core will be able to open them up just fine, but obviously the transactions won't appear on the BTC blockchain and you can get "missing inputs" as it cannot the transactions (as they obviously don't exist on BTC blockchain).

Get one of the transaction IDs for a transaction that the wallet says is confirmed and have a look on the AltCoin block explorers for that transaction ID.

Are you sure that it's not an altcoin wallet?

So I have bitcoin-qt as I have always used newest version 8 active connections fully updated.

Been trying to send some coins from a 2014 wallet.

I’ve tried every way possible and every time I get the not in mempool message or 0/offline has not been broadcast yet message.

I tried to push the tx with the hex to the tx and got a server error.

After reading here I tried sednrawtransaction > hex code and I got missing inputs ( code -25)

Any ideas?

Much thanks
