yep, that's correct, just take note that only similar graphics card can be replicated and is selected as default, you can set also not to synchronized all similar cards on the settings if you want to.

It is no problem, running Windows 10 I have a rig of some friends with few RX 480 and few GTX 1070. It can be done in the MSI tool, MSI Afterburner uses a code for Nvidia GPU-s for example, GPU 106 for 1060 and GPU 107 for 1050 ti, based on these numbers you can choose the different settings to the different cards you may have. With latest 1709 Feature update of Windows 10, cards limit of only 8 for each brand is removed.

i have a mix of those and there is not really a problem the only thing is if you wanted to mine ether based coins you need to use some commands to unselect 1080s
and use msi afterbunrer "synchronize settings for similar graphics processors" to easily overclock or downclocking your gpus then you can only clock one of each and all get the settings.
