Hello , new guy here....
I was referred to this forum from another Cryptocurrency Forum called CryptoTalk.  From what I can see so far, this one is much more informative,  which I can appreciate.

It should be more informative, since this is the original forum started by Satoshi Nakamoto Smiley
Regarding the mobile friendly application, Loganota already suggested you fahbil's extension for Firefox and I can confirm you it works great! Use at your own risk, indeed. I'm using it for a few months now and it has only a few minor bugs.

Another suggestion for OP: Firefox for mobile contains a function known as "Reader View". Read about it here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/view-articles-reader-view-firefox-android. It essentially removes all the formatting, and displays just the post content in a large font wrapped to your screen size, which will remove the need for left to right scrolling. It doesn't help with navigating the site, but it makes reading threads much easier.

I like to trim them to the point I want to address and that can take several minutes to get the goddamn phone to delete the bits I want with disappearing cursors and over enthusiastic deletions.
Obviously this depends on what mobile handset and operating system you are running, but on my phone there is an option in the keyboard settings which pins a button to the keyboard which, when pressed, will hide the keyboard and display a "text editing" interface, which contains arrow keys for navigation, cut/copy/paste buttons, page up/page down buttons, select all, and so forth. It makes editing quotes and bbcode tags so much easier on mobile than the usual fat finger pressing trying to get the cursor in the right place.

There are also third party app which will achieve the same thing, but I would stay away from them since any keyboard or text editing app can by default act as a keylogger.

For some people, page views from bitcointalk forums may be a bit annoying because of their small writing and they have to swipe left and right if zoom in on the page to make reading easier. So far i am using a smartphone for forum activities for me is very helpful and quite easy, its just that when I have to enter on a website and the exchange may experience traffic jams due to the influence of RAM and internet connection from a smartphone.

We have arrived in 2020, so I think the WAP display may no longer be suitable for use because almost all corners of the world already have good internet access. Its just that we have to prepare some money to buy a good and fast device for our activities in the forum.

You already enlightened me with that hidden page. I have not known it before.

I didn't know it was existed. Though it could be a great help to those members that are having very poor internet connection. Though, I think our forum do already utilizes very minimal data, so making connection is already easy.

My only problem so far is that it is formatting on my phone like a webpage and I need to enlarge and slide left and right to read the posts.  It's somewhat annoying.
If you "view the forum in landscape mode [horizontally]", you no longer need to zoom in for reading the content.

Is there a mobile format for this page , or a mobile app for Android that is used?
Since you mentioned Android, you can "turn on" the "magnification feature" while still viewing the forum on Portrait/Landscape modes...
Settings > Accessibility > Visibility enhancement > Magnification > 2 options (triple tap or tapping a button).

Just like @harizen said you will get used to the interface by using the forum on a regular basis but if you want really something done about it. You can hire a chrome extension developer from Fiverr and ask them to develop a "Resizer" of sorts for you. Basically it will make bitcointalk appear responsive even tho it's originally not. I know this because I hired a developer to code an extension where if a User had less than X amount of merit received then their posts didn't appear on my display... It's basically messing with HTML/CSS I believe and chrome allows the modification of webpages through their extensions, So something like making bitcointalk responsive should also be possible. You can then run that extension via Kiwi browser on your android device... ( I will look into this, there is a demand for this... )

If the website was responsive then it would have an even bigger user base because they is no official app.

Maybe it will be updated in the future, then we will see a whole new structure for the forum to run on.

But it's 2020 and we shouldn't even consider WAP2 anymore.

Yeah, but it works.

I certainly couldn't use it full time but for a browse it's far better to me at least.

And quoting with the normal forum is utterly agonising on mobile unless you want to quote entire giant posts. I like to trim them to the point I want to address and that can take several minutes to get the goddamn phone to delete the bits I want with disappearing cursors and over enthusiastic deletions.

You can try this - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?;wap2

It's very basic, quoting is a nightmare and there are some format problems but it's clean and fast. I think it's ancient but I find the normal forum intolerable on a phone.

I use Opera on mobile which does a good job of rescaling the text to fit if you zoom in for the original forum format but it's still harder work than I can take.

I can see why. You have to copy the contents, add the quote tags and reply. Truly a nightmare.

But it's 2020 and we shouldn't even consider WAP2 anymore unless mobile data is super duper scarce.

Most native mobile browsers (stock) automatically fit the webpage of any site in a full view on your screen without scrolling left and right, that's by default and depends on your screen resolution. Also, try to check your stock browser settings if there's a thing called page segmentation (UCBRowser have this feature) to force a mobile view of a web site although not advisable to me since it's better if you will be used on browsing the forum on its usual interface. There are native browsers too that have an option for modifying user agent String e.g a view for Android, Desktop, Ipad, etc.

But honestly no need for that. You are basically new to the forum so obviously you are adjusting with the forum's interface. As long as you become used to it, browsing the forum even in any format should be a no problem for you.

There's currently no official solution for a mobile version of bitcointalk, unfortunately. There are some unofficial solutions to this as described in this topic here, but I don't recommend it, use it at your own risk.
