Since I don't want to be tracked by the CIA, I don't have a smartphone. I use cash for all my payments on the move and I like it. I have a paypal account, several cards, and several wallets, including one on blockchain.info for easy access when I'm traveling. Frankly I do not like the idea of paying with a phone, or unlocking a car, as I've read recently that it's planned. What I hate about phones is that you can't be anonymous using one. I prefer to use cash, or to take the time to go a fast food, switch on my computer, and make a transaction on blockchain.info via Tor.

I assume you're one of those people who are really super concerned about their privacy. If you do not like the idea of paying from a phone, its okay. As the world of btc and crypto evolves, there will eventually be ways where such issues are fixed effortlessly, let the industry grow and expand. Oh, and also there are phones which are compatible with browsers which allow you to change your IP making the person tracking you seem like you're in a different geographical position. Try it, James Bond.

James Bond  Grin The point here being made is that there are a lot of advanced ways to hide your identity and protect your privacy. And as long as you are not some big shot or some dude's who's doing hideous illegal shit, I don't think CIA gives a fuck about any other human, we all are just insignificant faces in the crowd blurred in strangers' photos. I don't care if somebody is checking on me, I got nothing to hide anyway Wink

Well get used to it, cash will dissapear in then next to 20 years. Also what kind of transactions you do with Tor? if the transaction has your name attached to it Tor is pretty useless, so you can't really buy anything with Tor since you need to give your address to recieve the package etc.

Maybe you will say that i am an old fashion guy but i wouldn't trust all my money to my phone or any other type of payment which involves electricity(cards). What if you don't have battery on your mobile and do not carry any money on you, what if the ATM doesn't have any money, what if there is no electricity and you have only your mobile to pay with. Maybe i will change my opinion in the future but for now i wouldn't pay with my phone Smiley

It usually means that you just need to access a charging station which are becoming commonplace in malls nowadays to top up the phone, that said it will likely not be exclusive their is room for cards and mobiles to work together, small change in the mobile and cards for bigger purchases.

Mobile industry is huge, really huge. Everybody nowadays has a mobile, and many of them have smart phones. With the introduction of smart phones came the internet. The internet also requires bills and the phone bills are also increasing, but as it is treated as a necessity, people end up paying whatever amount it is. Who wouldn't be surprised to know that it hits a trillon dollar mark now.

Mobiles have become big in the developing world as well. Not everybody has a bank account, but everybody has a mobile phone. That is one of the reasons for the success of companies like m-Pesa.

It would be better if all cards for payment can be replaced by mobile. It would be better to bring only a mobile.

Mobile wallets is a giant market its easy enough to implement a Bitcoin based mobile wallet linked to fiat currency
Something that groups like Square have tried the challenge is getting the traction but its a large area of growth potential.

I hope that people realize how dumb it would be to use a fiat currency under bitcoin when you can directly use bitcoin. Im sure such a system will have fees.

I think this kind of technique already exists. Already mobile phones  have the most important and helpful applications inherent in them nowadays. I dont think this comes as a great surprise to the people . Considering everything that is already vested in this, I think we all saw  it coming.
