Of the most importance about trading is the knowledge, the prior experience you've got about the market. That aside, devices plays a role in spotting some quick opportunities in the market. The laptop or desktop is the most advantageous of all when it comes to comparing it with tablet and mobile phones. The user interface is great when working with a larger screen, more icons and shortcuts to the indicators and even placing them. Though, putting your phones in landscape mood might offfer similar advantage but then, its nothing compared to desktops and laptops.

Mobiles and laptops both are being used for trading. But I prefer the laptop the most. Because it is better for easy use with big screen, keyboard and mouse facility. Not take much energy of mind and eyes etc. For trading, the use of laptops and mobile has long hours use. In mobile, it causes fatigue and boredom. But not it is on the laptop. In short, the proper way of trading is the laptop.

When it comes to convenience then having bigger screens is really much preferred and for sure majority of us would really like that but there are instances on where we do really need to go out for some other transaction

neither personal or in related to job and we need to check out trading or position status then mobile would be the only path. This is really on user preference and liking because some do love pc

and some do love smaller screens or just be handy. It doesnt matter as long you do find yourself productive.

It duly depends on the availability of thr devices you have for trading. All mobile phones, laptop/desktop and tablets can be good depending on your choice of familiarity and comfortability. But mostly since it is day trading, people do prefer using mobile phones since those are the ones that are easily accessible in any time you wanted to take a look at your trades. But if you were a working individual who preferably brings tablet or laptops outside, then it is also good thing to be done.

I use a mobile phone and laptop for trading that still works but honestly, it was good to have a wider screen when it comes to trading. Well, I only use my phone when I was in the job during my break time just to check the market trend but most of the time I use a laptop where I'd become more comfortable with it. That only it differs from them as the system and process are still the same but if we wanted to avoid some mistakes in placing our buy or sell order, that it becomes advisable to do use laptop or PC.

I am not sure why would it matter to know which is preferred device for others while doing the day trade?

Idk, few of them are saying laptop is good few of them saying mobiles are good since they are fit for on the way game etc. But, the thing is you should be choosing your own to trade on your favourite devices. You might comfortable on the tab while someone else might say they are comfortable only on the laptop. I get it, you might be asking this out of the few factors like comfort, data representation, speed trades, easy access etc.

However, the perception of same would be different for every person. I think you should be experimenting day trade few times on different devices and see yourself which is the best fit for you.
I have the opposite opinion, I think this matters a lot, it is known that the way the information is presented can change your perception of what is actually happening, and the size of the screen of each device is completely different so the amount of information that you can receive in each device is different and the representation is different as well, so it is important to see the opinions of others about the devices they use so we can have a more informed opinion about the device that we would like to use.
Disagree with this one because the information you could get would be still the same neither you do have small screen or big screen. The difference here is on the presentation of those informations
which some people doesnt really like to have the hassle of scrolling while you can see all of those infos in one go if you do have a bigger screen. So most of the time it would be much preferable
on having wider or bigger screen when doing day trading. Active trading does simply means you are stationary or most like on your house which i dont see for mobile or smaller
screens to be that effecient.

i prefer laptop for day trading. by using laptop for trading every link and every tab opens easily. many tabs can open simultaneously in laptop whereas in mobile only one tab opens at once. That's why it is easy to use and just attainable at any time.

I'm using both of them for trading whether it is day trading or investing in the long term coins, But the main point is that it can be taken as all the time, If a trader give much time to trading then it is confirmed at a situation that the trader can earn a lot profit from following his own trading strategies.

Note: Question is SPECIFICALLY to experienced day traders who have been day trading for several years and spend AT LEAST four hours a day trading.

If you're day trading full time and you have all the time in the world for it...and you can only choose one of those devices, which would you choose...and most importantly, why that one instead of the others?
Laptop will be good. Because with wide screen can really help us seeing chart and not afraid to missclick because in laptop people usually use mouse. And for mobility, only for trading laptop can brought anywhere we want and still can access it although there are no electricity because it can turned on and it is enough to make order in wherever we want.
That's true, what is clear is that laptops are recommended, of course, because if we talk about trading, of course using our laptops will be more effective when compared to using a mobile phone,
with a laptop we can be more comfortable even more for productivity

I choose to use a laptop. because by using a laptop and a wider screen size I can freely monitor trading developments. other than that by using my laptop I can record the moment every time in trading which is very important so that it can be easier going forward in daily trading or long-term trading

If I am to choose one over the others I am going to choose my laptop at all times. Yup, my laptop is the best for my trading, although it is not something that I carry around all the time, most times it is in my house and I only get to make use of it when I am at home. Why laptop is the best for trading is because it is as powerful as a trading desktop, and since it is a full computer, you are getting every features that will be available on that platform and you also have a wider screen to trade as well.

I also use mobile phone, but it can’t be compared to laptop, same as tabs. And moreover I can carry my laptop around, though it wouldn’t be as easy as carrying your smartphone around, you’re going to need your backpack for it.

if you ask me to choose one of the three devices above are best for trading, then I will choose a laptop or pc
I've tried trading on smartphones and tablets but it's not as comfortable as trading on a laptop or PC

The trading tools that we can use on tablets and smartphones are very limited and that's what really bothers me when trading on both devices

When it comes to convenience then nothing beats out on using a pc or laptop due to larger screen and also with some indicators that only work on bigger screen but the biggest cons when you do work
on a computer is that you are just stationary which basically means that if you are a person who do make transit on active manner then this wouldnt really be that possible for you to do so.
Only daytraders would really be sitting out on their computer or pc almost a day and this is where people do differ on what type of trader they are basing on the time
allocated on such activity.

I've been doing this trade since 2015. however, I tend to use PC because it gives a wide view, and ease of features on pc than mobile or tab version. however, I sometimes use my smartphone to control whether the price movement is in line with what I speculated, or whether the price is falling. I sometimes use my smartphone when I am outside the house. well, but I'm more inclined to use a PC because it's more convenient for me.
I have almost a similar style in terms of trading. I use my desktop and software installed on it to trade all day but if I need to cash some profits or look out how some trades are going, I open the exchange application on my mobile and check it quickly. Sometimes I need to make payments and I directly send from the exchange, although it costs a few extra bucks.

I think mobile phone would be a best choice for all the users who are investing in day trading, but its up to you.
But, the problem I often feel trading on mobile is that the application often times gets frozen and I end up clicking the screen to no avail which later results in some unwanted clicks. For example, you click the screen 5 times but it performs the action after 20 seconds, it just messes up things for me.

Not a bad idea to do a poll actually if you want to gather some kind of data and opinions.

And a small suggestion, if you want only experienced day traders to answer, it is much better to put some kind of a hint in the title because not everyone actually reads the OP and they jump directly into replying.

Now since I am here and I have done day trading a lot maybe not as experienced as you are looking for though, I always prefer trading on my laptop because mobile is just too small and congested to understand things properly and I haven't traded on a tablet yet so don't know about it.

My main trading tool is still a Desktop Pc, because everything can be done in front of a Desktop PC. If you only use a smartphone or tablet the work will be limited. The analysis will be limited and it will be more difficult.

More secure and free to use a Desktop PC. Every day I spend about 4 hours doing analysis in front of a desktop PC. Cell phones and tablets are only portable devices to check the market and do some entry if you are outside the house.
Also there is nothing like the precision a mouse gives you, trying to do anything with any degree of accuracy and speed is very difficult in a smartphone or a tablet but with a mouse and a keyboard you can make very precise inputs in a matter of seconds that are completely impossible in those devices, now this may not seem like a big deal but if you are a day trader those seconds can be the difference between being a profitable trader or not and you cannot give yourself the luxury of losing trades because of the device that you are using.

I haven't day traded for hours in a long time but still I make use of my laptop anytime I want to trade, laptop makes your analysis limitless. The views from the chart would be bolder and clearer. The mobile screem is small compared to that of your desktop or laptop so they'll be more preferable options.

My Mobile could be used to just stay updated with the market using my app that's if I need to do some other stuffs that'll involved me leaving my desktop for some seconds.

Secondly for the security reasons I'll still have to go with my laptop as my mobile is used to access more unsecured sites compared to my laptops. For example my social medias platforms, gaming platforms etc are all access with my mobile so just to stay security cautious with addition to other benefit of using a larger scream, my laptop has to be my go to option.
I have to say even desktop PC could be better. Think about it, if you have 8 monitors, all looking at some other chart showing you what's going on at the same time and you have your last monitor right in front of you looking at the exchange, just waiting for you to click buy or sell based on what you are seeing on the other monitors? That's the thing about desktop computers, they are the real limitless ones, mobile is definitely worse than a laptop, but a desktop has so much more room to grow, it could grow bigger than you can ever imagine, you can plug it into a HUUGE tv as well and look at it there, just divide the screen into 8 different things because if your screen is big enough you do not need other monitors.

In that case desktop is by far the best one, if you want hours and hours of trading, laptop is not easy because it Is still quite small to check everything, bigger than a phone, but still not enough if you ask me.

I think mobile phone is better choice as i'm also a day trader and using mobile phone, with having everytime in hand and can be easily accessible for the users any time, any where, but if you are using laptop, so it will be difficult for many of the investors to use it anywhere. I think mobile phone would be a best choice for all the users who are investing in day trading, but its up to you.

I personally prefer to use a laptop for daily trading, because in my opinion it is clearer to see the candle that is formed so that it can be easier to determine support and resistance. and usually with a mobile phone I can monitor market movements whether they are in the analysis area or not, so I can travel anywhere

Laptop are indeed the most comfortable to use for daily trading, I like you prefer to use a laptop compared to other devices. Because it requires
a clear display to be able to read the coin price movement chart, with a laptop screen that is large enough to be very comfortable in reading graphs.
For trading, supporting factors are also needed regarding information on the development of the crypto world every day, and very comfortable
reading articles related to the crypto world on a laptop.

I have it on my PC and on my smartphone, I am currently just following the market, but I really like the Binance app, in fact it is much faster on my PC than entering through the browser, I feel that it is much faster.

For traders who do scalping, it is best to have the app everywhere, on the pc, laptop, on tablets, and on the phone, it is essential for them to be aware, in my case it is different because I trade in the medium and long term , and when I want more comfort I go to Bitfinex which also places my order with stop loss and take profit there. I do this for sheer convenience, because I like to have peace of mind and not be aware of the market every minute as some traders do.

I don't do dedicated trading (100%) but I can answer ...

The important thing here is which is the best tool according to your occupations and in that sense the cell phone is a powerful tool (or tablet) because due to its portability they are used even in the bathroom ...

Trying to understand what it means to have all the time to dedicate to trading, there is no preferred one, I would use all three, in fact it is so.

Personally, I do hold the belief that the bigger the screen, the better the trading view and this ultimately leads to a better trading experience.
Although, I prefer to have a bigger screen such as connecting a television to my laptop for my trades, I'd stick to a laptop since the options are limited to just three gadgets.
A bigger screen makes it easier to navigate about and not make unnecessary mistakes

I do daily trade mostly in my mobile, it was two years i do this since the mobile app are easy to used, before it i used my PC.
This is actually about preferency and comfortable think, i still use my PC sometimes when i need to draw and do deep analyse, after that i usually execute and monitor my trade in mobile.
Because cryptocurrencies is dinamic, I think it is more suitable for using mobile for daily trade activities.

Day trading needs a focused and convenient environment.

As much as possible, always choose the better gadget for this and that's Laptop or Desktop Computer.

But overall, it's still by preference. There are traders who are used to day trade on their mobile although I doubt there are lots of them.

I'm not a full time day trader, but if i were to be, i'd definitely prefer a big monitor screen for my analysis when i am sited comfortably at my home or in the office and then a tab or Mobile phone when i'm on the go. In other words, my preference changes depends on my current location and activity.

Because real time monitoring is needed in day trading, i consider all devices important to be successful at it.

As far as I know (from my friends who are day-traders), while I am not a full day-trade(I personally will use a laptop at home and mobile phone when outside)..
They will use several devices of the monitor and also laptop. But at least, that day-trader will use more than one device.
Commonly they will have a bigger monitor in order to monitor and measure price movements, charts, and also various indicators that have been set.
ANd they will also use another device (computer or laptop also to do something else and other analysis.

If you're day trading full time and you have all the time in the world for it...and you can only choose one of those devices, which would you choose...and most importantly, why that one instead of the others?
I will go for a laptop because it saves me the time for unnecessary back testing. Using Android will require back testing to see if price action has obeyed the set-up I'm about to trade which will require me to trade and most times even after the back testing the picture might still not dispi clearly. But with a laptop I can instantly view view previous price action just in one glance

The speed of visible was high in laptop as compared to phone and tab. The reason behind is Windows OS and it had huge processor. Which is not available in the android based tab or mobile. The transaction is also fast in laptop as compared to the phone. So use the laptops for better trading experience.
Each device will have advantages and disadvantages and whether what devices you will use to trade, you should know it because only you will know which devices can give you easiness and comfortable to trade. I like to trade using a personal computer or laptop, but if I am going out and not carrying my laptop, I use my mobile phone to trade and so far, that works best for me, and I do not have a problem using mobile phones. That will depend on how you trade and where you want to trade to know what devices will help you trade.

That's the best choice I agree because most exchanges have their complete features in one place or page in PC because they have more spaces to fill in compared to a computer that doesn't have any of that and has to move it to different page or buttons just to fit it in or worse make a shortcut of it in the least visible part of the page which leads to confusion from people who transitioned from PC to phone.

Among the three, laptops are more convenient for day trading because of the ease of access to different tools in the charts.
Laptops and Desktop PCs are used most often for technical analysis. Bigger screens give more information about the assets.
More information gives a better understanding about the price action. Phone and tablets are only used when the person doesn't have access to his system.

Mobile, Tablet and Desktop all is good for Trading, but main things is knowledge. Still many traders use smartphone for trading but it is correct that have many advantage for using desktop. We can see all feature of Exchange, Trading chart, buy/sell order, history and also more with clearly.
in anywhere mobile can be easily carried to everyone, and mostly people using smart phone. and all of exchangers has developed apps for mobile users. even i am started my first trading in binance apps (when i have not desktop/laptop), it's easy accessible in mobile phone.

Atleast this kind of multi screen setup will be there when someone successfully day trading for years

And when someone is day trading they have to look into the analysis all the time so small screen will be a bit annoying thing for them.
This setup is the typical setup for the day traders. But I think if you're just starting out, you can use your other device as long as they've got a bigger screen like the tablets and laptops will do too.
Analysis for some time in a day and I think you're good at doing that within a few hours. Doing that all the time will make you lose your time for doing other things but at least you get to do that within a few hours

Tab or Laptop will be the best as compared to mobile phone. The thing is the display screen of the tab or laptop is huge compared to the phone. We should analysis the market well with the good display or bigger display. Myself choose the laptop and not tab. Every person will have his own opinion on this.

~

And when someone is day trading they have to look into the analysis all the time so small screen will be a bit annoying thing for them.
You would once realize these when you are already aware on how this market works and you would surely be finding out on what are the things needed for you to get comfortable towards your trading career.
When you don't know on what you are doing then having those multiple screens would really be irrelevant. If you are not a daytrader then those kind of set-up wouldnt really be that much needed
but when you are really making out some trades on active basis then you would really be needing this if you do know on how to maximize or making yourself efficient.
It would really be according to needs since we are totally different to each other.
I didn't mention this is for the beginners but OP said when you sre day trading for years then what you will prefer then ofcourse proper setup is indeed. And I won't recommend the day trading if someone actually don't have the deep knowledge about analysis since they can lose all the profits they made in a day or months with single bad trade.

Note: Question is SPECIFICALLY to experienced day traders who have been day trading for several years and spend AT LEAST four hours a day trading.
Atleast this kind of multi screen setup will be there when someone successfully day trading for years

Mobile, Tablet and Desktop all is good for Trading, but main things is knowledge. Still many traders use smartphone for trading but it is correct that have many advantage for using desktop. We can see all feature of Exchange, Trading chart, buy/sell order, history and also more with clearly.

Every gadget that could access exchanges and trading sites would be good and convenient to use so we could pick what we're comfortable with. Yes, the desktop has an advantage because there's no limit when it comes to accessing s the features of exchange but a mobile phone will also be convenient since we could do trading anywhere and anytime.

You can classify PC as laptop since the function and feature is same except for its portability. Trading is better on PC/Laptop because you can clearly see the pattern on charts with a bigger screen unlike phone or tablet. You can setup multiple indicators and change it easily via PC but it doesn't mean that mobile and tablet is not good on day trading. It depends on the situation because you do a good TA too on mobile or tab because you can both use the chart and function on both devices. You just need patience to do it properly.
Nope it's different, why is it called laptop then if it's not portable plus laptops are prone to heating really fast you use it for about an hour or so but PC don't have that problem since there's water cooling, and there's also the ability to upgrade to multiple screens. So no, it's not classified as a laptop.

You forgot to add PC, it's much better than all of them because it has wider screens so you can do more activities and it doesn't heat up like crazy like a laptop and it can even be reduced when you put coolant and stuff. Another reason why PC is better is even the lowest in the market currently can be used compared to a laptop.
- Wide screen and the ability to cool devices easily are just one of the useful features of desktop computers, more convenience is still worth as you say, a low cost and combined with many different gateways we can trade on many different altcoin charts, once we have day-trading it is still advisable to choose desktop, phone and laptop computers that can make travel comfortable but in general, the most comfortable is still at our house, moving out is only due to mood effects as well as some private work.

It isn't convenient to use mobile phone as you day trade. Most of the day traders that I've seen, they've got the minimum of two huge monitors on their front following the charts of their chosen coins to trade. That's why if you're planning to do day trading with just using your mobile phone, forget about it but you can have a try and see if you're going to be convenient doing that. But no day trader I've seen really have that preference for their day trades.

Desktop tabs hands down. Mobile phones are not the same as laptops, the features are smaller if existing at all and can't perform a trade as fast. The advantage I find with desktop tabs is that you can monitor it better using different monitors and act right away - obviously this is not the case on a phone.

From my experience, phones are great but only for short-term checking and not so much trading.

I prefer laptop to any other device, reasons because it has a bigger screen which could make drawing of lines across candle sticks much easier and also makes analysing chat so easily, well I don't trade up to four hours a day but i can say am good at trading but not perfect yet, can anyone actually be perfect in trading?. Any good trader would agree with me that trading with system seems more convenient and also gives us perfect views of chart patterns.

One of my brother is using mobile for trading and he is a good trader as well because he earn a lot from trading even every week , the way he is going to analyze the coins is amazing. So, i preferred you to use mobile for day trading, as i'm also using mobile for trading because it is easy to check the coins and trade in it.

When i am trading or doing my research i need my laptop after that i am fine with the mobile phone to monitor the market as i am comfortable in that way. I am not claiming myself to be a expert in the field but since i am here for a long time i am made some successful bids and made huge profits and that is how i proceed with trading. In short i like trading in a bigger screen  Grin.

The point you said by trading in a bigger screen I totally agree, I also feel comfortable doing research and analysis when trading on a laptop.
Because it is more convenient to compare charts of price movements in the market, and also more comfortable reading articles related to trading
if on a large screen. So since the beginning of learning to trade and until now have started to understand how to make a profit from trading,
I always do everything on my laptop.

You can use a mobile phone as much as you can use a laptop, tab or desktop computer. Finding your way around daily trading is not a difficult task when it comes to the use of these gadgets. But mobile phones is more preferable anyways. The ease of being able to carry it around and not having to seat before a desktop all day. It's mobile.
Add it could access the apps and Web apps you use for trading as you'd access them on a desktop or tab.

I strongly believe that mobile phones give more convenience and comfort in trading especially the experienced traders, yes the newbies will definitely find it to be difficult starting up with trading on phones because they can never understand or enjoy it. An experienced trader finds more comfort with it and that is the area I'm pointing.

I checked online to see certain phones that are good for mobile trading and more are upgrading. Trading has gone mobile and phone companies are upgrading to same level of manufacturing high tech photos with large screen space too.

Well for me --it is a good tandem if I will use laptop and mobile phone while in trading, these tools will help you a lot and I can't able to trade without my mobile phone and if the phone only I can't able to trade to, there must these two devices. When I was a day trader before, I always monitor the price using my mobile phone while executing trades on my laptop. The choices are both laptop and mobile phone, they are the most important in trading before you will start. In my own --I cant able trade-in one device there should be an extra backup.

If you're day trading full time and you have all the time in the world for it...and you can only choose one of those devices, which would you choose...and most importantly, why that one instead of the others?

Day trading isn't about having all the time in the world to keep looking at the trading windows and that is why mobile phone is the best this time around. You don't need to seat at home in front of monitor or desktops because you are trading, even laptops are fading away and mobile phones have rightly taken over , you can do everything with mobile phones while trading. You just need a more tech phone and you enjoy your trade from anywhere.
Just as the saying "crypto never sleeps" which is the common slogan of cryptocurrency day trading and if you're used to how they operate or know someone thats do it, you'll know that they spent almost all their time checking the chart and that's the reason why a crypto traders correction centre was established in the UK.

Not me, but I know a few "experienced" day traders — just desktops and laptops with multiple monitors. Though they use their phones to check out the charts when they're out and about(when we're out to dinner or a night of drinking), 99.9% of the trades occur on their Windows/Mac devices.

The type of trading that you spend more time on desktops, laptops or monitors can make trading very boring. That was the beginning of trading when very fast smart phones were still not out, expensive and far from the reach of newbie traders and traders who were still struggling. But you can see in your post too that with mobile phone, you can check chart, analyse trade , interchange trading pairs and do everything done with desktops including making orders.
To my understanding, the use of mobile phones happened when the trader was out as said by mk4 but they use a bot to execute 75% of their trading when on mobile or does some few update.

Personally I've been choosing laptop or mobile phone because it can be used anytime and anywhere I would like to trade.
Often times, I had a convenient ways of trading and I wouldn't worry of power because we can recharge the device before bringing it from somewhere else.
Even at work I can still trade and monitor my asset as long as there's safe place to do it.

A desktop or a powerful laptop does it well for me as compared to a mobile phone or tablet. Because there's a lot of technical analysis to do than just trading. You can't do proper tech analysis on a mobile phone or phone trading apps. They have very limited capabilities.

Mobile phones are only good if one is going to trade on the go, but which kind of day trader makes trades on the go?

With day trading you have to able to see all kinds of indicators and charts that is if you are trading on serious level where making a trade requires precision and timing, and doing so you need to be able to have them in sight and see them clearly, and with phones and tablets  i wouldn't say its impossible but its difficult and inconvenient, even on a computer it get pretty difficult if you don't have tow or more screens to track the charts and be able to place a trade fast.

I have to say I am not an "experience trader who has been trading 4 hours a day for years" because that is a very low amount of people and you would get probably just a few answers and that's it if you want "just" them to reply. But I have been here for over 8 years now, and I can easily say that during that period I have always used computer. The difference is that whenever you need to rush something, or you need to just do something that is not a big deal, you could use your mobile phone, specially for a long term investment phone is easy enough and you should probably pick that.

However, if you are going to do day trading then making it on mobile phone doesn't make any sense, there is a reason why you see all those movie traders have bunch of screens, it is not even about being on pc or mobile, it is about how you need to check a bunch of things before you can trade daily, and all those screens do show you something you need to see.

Am not a full time day trader but based on my level of experience, professionals will never use tab or a mobile phone as their main trading machine, like some one already mentioned here, deck top with multiple monitors is the way to go for highly professional traders while the smaller guys good with either a single desktop monitor or a laptop, I personally love trading with my laptop any day I decide to trade, though I still need my mobile phone to keep tabs on my open positions incase am out of home, maybe for a drink or something else, but always, my main machine for trading is always a laptop or desktop.

Each person is going to have their own preferred device but to me it is a matter of not missing any detail in the markets that I am trading and for that you need a big screen, so for me trying to trade from your smart phone or a small tablet is a mistake, I know that those devices are very practical and that you can carry them with you at all times but if I am on the move I prefer to use a laptop and if I am at my home then I prefer to use a PC connected to my television so I do not miss any of the action the markets are experiencing.

Hands down on using up personal computer/laptop when it comes to this.. No one beats up when it comes to comfort on using up big screens  rather than small ones specially when you do make out active trades
plus showing off a chart on a big screen is much better and accessibility and action executions is more easier than on doing in a tab or mobile phone. The only thing here is that you are just stationary but if you are
a type of person who do always commute or in transit then you would surely opt for mobile or tab or you can make use of laptop. Its jut a matter of preference though.

Obviously a desktop, I would happily use something which has a screen even larger than that, Day trading generally requires you to look at a lot of variables and not only that you need to quickly put your orders and even cancel your orders, all this at one small screen of mobile phone is pretty difficult, also mobile apps of almost all the crypto exchanges aren't stable, at least not as stable as their web-based counterparts, you don't want your money to get stuck due to bad coding at the end of the exchange, a somewhat different approach used by a few is having two devices, they keep a laptop for watching charts and a Tab/ Mobile to put order/ cancel orders, but honestly trading is impossible if you are not using a laptop.

Most trading websites now have apps that you can download onto your phone or their websites work in the browser of the mobile phone. I like to have a lot of space to avoid making mistakes and I that is where a laptop or desktop computer is better but if you do not care about using a smaller screen size then a mobile phone has benefits like being more portable.

I am much comfortable to use laptop or desktop, though I am not saying that mobile is not a good thing to use to trade cryptocurrency.
Although, using mobile phone only is good is when you are outside your home or your in province, in which mobile advantage is much more advantage only due to it is portable. But this was just my own opinion only.
I also use my laptop for multi time frame analysis because of its large screen, to determine the main or minor trends, support and resistance, demand and supply zones, fortunately the indicators used in  my trading strategy is the default type, thus I had  the same on my mobile phone trading chart,  I was able to transfer those information to my mobile phone so that I can easily place a trade anywhere, in a nutshell I used both devices for my day trading, meanwhile some traders might be comfortable with mobile phones, I believe majority traders will use desktop or laptops.

If you are a pro trader, you can use any device because the device is just a tool for you to trade. It does not matter if you use a mobile phone or laptop or tab because you can analyze using one of them.

I prefer to use a laptop or computer but I also use the phone because I install an app such as the Binance app and other things to help me trade.

But day trading needs more skills as the market will different day by day. So without having the right skills, you will hard to analyze, no matter if you use a mobile phone or laptop or tab, because that will not help you analyze.

Well back in the days before I stopped day trading, I was all into desktop computer. My mobile phone is kind of rubbish and wouldn't handle that much load from browser especially if I run my browser in Desktop mode, it is hella sluggish and if even by single second it is slow, what more when if it is a whole 8 hours even though I had a lot of breaks in between those hours.

I'm not a pro trader according to your definition but from my own experience, I barely use my phone for trading, except for a few orders that I already know my entries and take profits. Most of the time, I use my laptop and I believe other traders also prefer big screen devices. I choose laptop because I can bring it with me to cafe or traveling. Mobile phones and tablets are more portable but really inconvenient for technical analyses.

I am not a day-trader, but I do know other day-traders. They certainly do not use mobile phones or tablets. I know only one that uses a mobile phone to manage positions at the end of the session in case he didn't close them already.

IMO it is quite obvious that the easiest setup would be a computer with high-quality monitors (you want to look at beautiful colors if you're going to spend so much time staring at the screen). There are some traders who prefer a more casual setup like only a laptop - that works too especially if you like trading in more social places (like a coffee shop).

Never said you couldn't do these things on your phone; it's just that using it on a proper computer is just going to be more efficient. Even if your phone is as fast as the fastest latest computer, it's simply less efficient solely due to the screen size alone.

And the main goal of trading in the first place(if you're doing it professionally) is to make money, not necessarily to have a great time. We're talking about "experienced day traders"(as per OP's requests) in the first place, not hobbyists.

Most of the time I like to use my desktop for my trading. For a good trade setup, I need to use my big monitor. For charting, purpose Desktop computer is best to mine. I know, Most professional traders like to use multiple monitors. But I am a small trader and one monitor is good for me. Still I am learning and I think it's enough for now. I also install the Tradingveiw app on my android devices and whenever I am out of my home, I tried to check my chart with an android device. Also when I am out of my home I need to use my mobile phone to do trade, check the price and market movement. So both Desktop and mobile are very important for me now. I am not a Laptop user, So why can't able to share anything about laptop. For short times traders, there is no alternative to a desktop/laptop.

Laptop/Desktop is the best choice for day trader, it gives the best experience because of bigger screen. With bigger screen you can get better trading experience because you can find and use all the available menu/features easily. It also give you less possibility of wrong click or typo which usually happen when someone use mobile phone/tablet with smaller screen size.

I think maybe for a newbie trader that is still trying to find there way around trading tools, for this, the desktop can be better. But what I'm talking about is day trading shouldn't be what will consume someone time because they want to stay glued there on the screen and watch, the mobile phone can do everything the desktop does, except a new trader that finds it difficult to find their way. Mobile trading helps a trader to diversify into other businesses at least.

Safe to assume that it's simply because it's significantly easier to do charting and look at multiple charts on a computer than on a phone.
