May be all the users of mobileminer should donate enough so nwoolls can support it. I can donate manually every month 1% of my earnings.
Or we need to find who will continue it. Server is not s problem. Let's think about it together.

At this point I am not interested in hosting or maintaining MobileMiner. I am no longer mining at all (as it no longer makes sense to do at home paying electricity) so this isn't really an area I'm investing time or resources in. Additionally most miners are not willing to pay on top of electricity as it takes away from their profit.

That said if someone wants to purchase the entire stack I am open to discussions and can be reached at nate @ mobileminerapp.com or nwoolls @ gmail.com.

Nate, We're still open to the offer of %50 profit split even if we have to rewrite the end points in PHP

Thanks it's definitely an option I may take. I don't mean to be irresponsive to your offer - any of them won't be taken right away (unfortunately). A lot of stuff going on personally and professionally. But I think either way it should be up again at some point under different stewardship.

We understand! We just want to see such a great product continue forward Smiley

here here to the two interested parties!

make it happen.

Any options to save this?

If someone else wants to acquire the code and rights and carry on with it they can contact me at [email protected]. I've talked to a couple of folks but nothing concrete so far.

It's really not a model that makes sense with the current state of mining. People aren't (in general) paying a fee on top of their other mining fees. And servers cost money, as does code maintenance. The fact that I don't personally mine anymore (doesn't make financial sense if you pay for electricity) doesn't help.

I hope someone will get this working in the future.

I would be interested but unfortunetly I don't have the skills to keep it running....

ATTENTION

Hello all. Unfortunately it's time (past time really) to shut down the MobileMiner services and apps. Mining at home is just not generating enough interest, and margins are too slim for miners, to keep things running (and to keep myself interested).

Things will stay running until July 1st and any active subscriptions will no longer be charged. Thank you for your feedback, interest and patronage. Happy mining!

Hey guys,

i want to connect my BFGMiner 5.x with your iOS App. But everytime i try to run this python script (https://github.com/jedimstr/BFGMobileAdapter/blob/master/BFGMobileAdapter.py) i just get an error:

Code:
  File "./BFGMobileAdapter.py", line 26
    logging.basicConfig(
          ^
IndentationError: expected an indented block

Can you help me please?

Thanks a lot,
Replikator

While I am not the author of the Python scripts, in my experience some may or may not be compatible with Python 3.0. You may want to check the version you are using and try the other if you are having trouble (I believe it was version 2.7 vs version 3.0 last I checked).

You can also try using the CGMinerMobileAdapter, which should be compatible with BFGMiner, or MultiMiner which can also monitor mining software on your network. Both are compatible with MobileMiner.

Exciting news - the MobileMiner Web app has been updated with the ability to Delegate Access to your miners! Now you can securely grant and revoke access to your miners.

Here you can see the owner delegating access to another person using a simple on-screen prompt:

After accepting, the owner can see which machines have access delegated to other users:

And finally, from the recipient's point of view, they get access to monitor and manage miners with an indication of who the owner is:

As always Happy Mining!  Grin

Edit: here's a bit of official help on Access Delegation:

On the webpage I have all my miners, but on my mobile about only the half of them.

Any ideas why?

How many miners total, and how many are showing in the mobile app? The mobile app uses different limits on data due to its nature.

173-175 total.

About the half shows.

If you want me to count them and check I need some time.  Smiley

Yup - you're hitting the limit on the mobile apps. I'll bump it in the next round of updates. What OS (iOS, Android, WP)?

Edit: in the meantime the HTML5 site should show all of your machines: http://web.mobileminerapp.com

Yep, the web is fine.

I have only problem with the mobil app. I'm using Android.

Thanks for clarifying - I'll get the mobile apps updated ASAP.

Maybe any news on this one?

Edit: only CC payment to upgrade?

The Android app will be updated soon with this change. The iOS and Web apps are already updated.

Regarding other forms of payment for the MobileMiner subscriptions please contact me at nate @ mobileminerapp.com.

Mail sent.

Thanks for the answer

Edit: scratch that. In reviewing the network scan code I see I remove the local PC IP addresses as an optimization. So for now (until I fix that) you'll need to quit MultiMiner and edit the NetworkDevicesConfiguration.xml file (found in %appdata%\MultiMiner on Windows) and add an entry manually, e.g.:

Code:

    10.X.Y.Z
    4028
    true
    false

Got ya... I set-up another computer to use MultiMiner directly for all the other hardware I have, and the CGMiner process is being detected there (as a network device), so as you said it's the local IP address thing, since the other computer is seeing it.

Good to hear it's working.

The latest version of MultiMiner (3.8.4) updates the scanning code to find miners on the same PC. You need to make sure you whitelist the network-facing IP, not just 127.0.0.1 (which you already have).

You don't need to actually perform the mining with MultiMiner. MultiMiner will automatically detect any other miners on your network as long as their RPC API is enabled. You can monitor and manage those miners from within MultiMiner and benefit from MobileMiner support.

https://github.com/nwoolls/MultiMiner/wiki/Network-Devices#network-devices

So run CGMiner (however you want) using the --api-listen, --api-port and --api-allow commands and you should be all set. MultiMiner will pick up the miners and submit them to MobileMiner. There's a "Network Only" option under Settings > Advanced Settings specifically for this scenario where MultiMiner will not, itself, be mining.

Try to configure the CGMiner config for this to work:

This is what I got:

Code:
{
"pools" : [
{
"url" :,
"user" :,
"pass" :
}
]
,
"anu-freq" : "250.0",
"api-description" : "cgminer 4.9.0",
"api-mcast-addr" : "224.0.0.75",
"api-mcast-code" : "FTW",
"api-mcast-des" : "",
"api-mcast-port" : "4028",
"no-submit-stale" : true,
"api-listen" : true,
"api-allow" : "W:10.0.0.1/24, W:127.0.0.1",
"api-port" : "4028",
"api-host" : "0.0.0.0",
"au3-freq" : "225.0",
"au3-volt" : "750",

You may have an easier time using MultiMiner as you only need to unzip it and it will detect miners and submit their statistics to MobileMiner.

I would but this is the computer that's going to be running my RockMiners, so CGMiner seems to be the only viable option to be running them at full speed.

Don't know if you'd be able to help or not since you're not the author of this script, but how do I run CGMinerMobileAdapter on Windows? I have no idea how to install it or run it. I have python installed, but can't figure out what to do with the install.sh file. When I run the python script directly a prompt window opens then immediately closes... can't tell what it does, because it's too quick.

From taking a quick look at the install.sh that portion is not made for Windows at all. So you'll need to read through the install.sh script and try to make out what needs to happen on Windows.

https://github.com/dreadpiratepj/CGMinerMobileAdapter/blob/master/install.sh

It looks like you'll need to install argparse using pip. There is information on installing Python and pip on Windows here:

http://stackoverflow.com/a/9038397/33112

It looks like you'll also need to manually create a settings.conf file and then place your email address, application key, and machine name each on separate lines.

Finally you should be able to run the CGMinerMobileAdapter.py using Python from the command line.

You may have an easier time using MultiMiner as you only need to unzip it and it will detect miners and submit their statistics to MobileMiner.

Yep, the web is fine.

I have only problem with the mobil app. I'm using Android.

Thanks for clarifying - I'll get the mobile apps updated ASAP.

Smiley

Just bought app for wp

works well, is here any way to see the temperature? That's my main concern with my farm

Tap the machine, then tap the Devices button - individual devices will show their temperatures and you can enable both Push and Email alerts on temp (and other things) in the Settings.

Greetings! I'm happy to report that MobileMiner support is now built into the latest version of SAntViewer:

Quote
SAntViewer is an Open Source app for monitoring AntMiners – specifically S1s – using the CGMiner API. Features include AntMiner monitoring, rebooting, mass-rebooting, and more.

Thanks to spiceminer15 for supporting the MobileMiner API!

Hey folks - just wanted to show a quick preview of the upcoming support for the iOS 8 Today Screen in our iOS app:

This and more should be ready when iOS 8 drops. Happy mining!  Cheesy

Ah ok great, thanks. Just a matter of understanding how it works 😁

Yup - documentation is still the weakest link for both projects!  Grin

Decentralize your hashing - p2pool - Norgz Pool
There is only one thing that could be better. On the WP version, when you turn push alerts on, it sends a lot of them. Multiple alerts for one entry on full mm. When you have time could you look at that and/or maybe put more finite settings in for what alerts get sent to WP app.
Eg. Don't want profitably alerts, just miner down alerts.

You can set that up in MultiMiner (if that's the miner you are using to push info to MobileMiner). If you click Settings, then Advanced service settings, you can turn off "Push MultiMiner notifications". You will still get push notifications when a machine is down or device is down etc., but things like profitability notifications will no longer be pushed out to your phone.

this is a really great extension to a really great app. It works on all platforms including Windows phone! kudos to a developer who actually believes in cross platform support and active development that continually improves this already great software.

MobileMiner is a suite of applications, both native and HTML5, for remotely monitoring and controlling your mining. It also has an Open API with a wide array of compatible miners (including BFGMiner, CGMiner, Asteroid, MacMiner, MinePeon, Cointerra hardware, and - of course - MultiMiner).

  • Monitor all of your rigs and all of your devices in one location
  • Control each individual rig remotely: start, stop, and restart mining
  • Switch Pools & Coins on each individual rig remotely
  • No web server to host / no ports to forward
  • Email and push notifications when devices, machines go offline
  • Privately share both dashboard and machine information
  • Securely delegate acces to your miners
  • Native smart phone apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone
  • Full featured HTML5 app with Charts, Dashboards, and more
  • Broad miner support - monitor and control virtually any software
  • Open API for submitting miner statistics from any script / miner
  • Paid API for consuming your own miner statistics, controlling your own miners
