On that board what extender cables do you use? I'm wondering if 1x-16x cables work in the 16x slots without mod. Or do you put two in board and two above with cables?
Thx.

could be but i also like not having to have a small electric factory(aka huge psu) for each setup lol. i will stick with my 4 card setup per board and be happy with it whether it can do 8 or not.

the MSI 890FX-GD70 is a popular one on this forum because it's very versatile. can hold a max of 6 cards with extender cables, or 4 cards sandwiched right on top of each other, or 3 double slot cards with a space in between for breathing.

I am just gettin into this and find it amazing, I am hoping to get a few more moterboards and use extenders, converters, and risers to get as many PUs as I can in per board, all individually powered by PSUs.

Are there any motherboards in particular that get singled out in buildin rigs? One that just holds more than most or is cheapest by comparison?
