As long as the moderators aren't doing anything, plenty of users, especially newbies who don't know how to identify red flags for scams, will continue to be scammed.
If scamming wasn't so unbelievably rampant in the marketplace section, I'd consider donating bitcoin to this forum, but I can't do that if the moderators are not doing their jobs.
It's not their job (in case you didn't know):
19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

leave negative trust on their bitcointalk profile, post a formal scam accusation, and report them to the moderators.
Users feedback won't be shown (to the public) by default on someone else's profile, unless their DT1/2 members, so they have to open a thread in Scam Accusations section instead and wait for DT1/2 members to leave the appropriate feedback and rating. As mentioned above, reporting such cases to moderators won't change anything.

There are several sellers on this forum in the marketplace with selly.gg and rocketr.net listings that have zero or negative feedback, negative trust on this forum for their profiles here, and they're self-moderating their postings to block genuine feedback from users who are getting scammed. As long as the moderators aren't doing anything, plenty of users, especially newbies who don't know how to identify red flags for scams, will continue to be scammed.

So here's my advice: do not buy from a seller if:

- the seller's topic is self-moderated (you can tell from the lock icon)
- they have zero or negative trust on their bitcointalk profile
- they have zero or negative feedback on their selly.gg/rocketr.net profile

And if you do get scammed, PLEASE REPORT THEM SO OTHERS DO NOT GET SCAMMED. Leave negative feedback on their selly.gg/rocketr.net, report them on that website,  leave negative trust on their bitcointalk profile, post a formal scam accusation, and report them to the moderators.

If scamming wasn't so unbelievably rampant in the marketplace section, I'd consider donating bitcoin to this forum, but I can't do that if the moderators are not doing their jobs.
