How about a link log of the deleted posts that can be available for public viewing it include when it was posted and when it has been deleted, will that be possible? If you will see my merit stat I have been merited by TMAN just recently but this has been deleted due the fact that the OP don't want some good argument about it.

Suggesting that one too as that I find interesting and may help on some other cases. @Crypto-DesignService I recall reading that one from you I just can't recall on what thread of it but I really like that one as well even not on a self-moderated topic.

The modlog will be mostly useful for finding thread-bumpers and projects using this service.
With the current situation you see the number of deleted posts but you don't know to which users those posts belong to.
Other than that post count of deleted post by mod/self-mod will also be useful and have almost the same effect.
This can be a perk for those with high number of good reports.
Can we also add a 'view edit history' beside quote and merit box on upper-right of OP? It will also help users to provide proofs when projects turned out to be scam and scammers deleted/edited the content of their Project threads to remove evidence.

The purpose of the Modlog's report is to review the conduct of mods and thus investigate any abuse of the system. People can complain about abuse based on that report. *IMHO*
It's quite different when we talk about self-moderated threads, it's up to those who create the topics to set rules.

As for abuses, it is better to show deleted posts that have earned merits.

I would support this if logistically possible. I think it allows users to maintain a clean moderated discussion while still making a clear log of what they don't want people to see just in case. One of the main criticisms of the moderated threads is it could be used to hide abuse. This would largely counter that effect while still maintaining all of the benefits.

I think this would be an interesting log.

If there was some message like "5 posts from 3 users deleted" or something like that. Maybe if you could even click to get more details about those posts, it would be nice.

There we go! As you can tell I don't frequent many of the sections which usually have self moderated threads! Seems like I'm pinned down in my sections currently. Thanks for that. Considering that this is already been implemented then I'm not sure if anything else is really needed.

For the record: I merited the OP because it's a well-stated suggestion, but I disagree with it. There is enough bitching about moderator actions already. And the ones who get their posts deleted in self-mod threads already get notified via PM, plus there are the new numbers at the top of self-mod threads. Making the individual user IDs public seems of little benefit to me.

I think I recall theymos stating he would do some vague stats such as "x amount of deleted replies" without giving any information who had their posts deleted. I can't seem to find it right now so this might of come from someone else, however I'll take a better look a little later.

That's already been implemented:

I second that.

It will certainly make interesting reading, and help us  to form opinions about some of the spammers and sellers in the forum.

I had the wrong impression that the self-moderation activity is reflected in the Modlog but I was proven wrong by LoyceV >

~ I just deleted a post from "LoyceMobile" from my thread, and it doesn't show up in modlog.

Can we have access to the self-moderated log, it will be useful information for many users.
