So the secret is: Logging in is considered a "post" so one must wait 6 minutes after logging in before making a post. Have a nice day!

Same problem here. Every time I try to post, "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later."
"every time" not literally, obviously.

OBVIOUSLY None of you can read.... Pardon me if i sound hostile. but rather than being able have this issue that is affecting over a dozen of us fixed. i have to get in my Damn car and drive down to starbucks again to get on their wifi to reply which makes me a little angry that i have to deal with such smart @$$es that are quick to reply without reading like a bunch of fools.

LET ME CLARIFY

1. I am not a noob, i made a new forum account because i thought the IP issue was with my old account after the forum got hacked. i as well as the other dozen or so affected members have been on this forum for OVER a year. I just happen to be the one who thought to go somewhere to get on another IP to make a post.

2. I am not an effing idiot, i know you can only post once every 5 minutes. I am not here to cry about being stuck in a noob thread, i am here to let the owners and administrators know that something is wrong with the IP cache on the server.

3. I am able to make this post because i had to drive 5 block to find a free wifi connection that is not on my home IP.

4. check other bitcoin forums, bitcoinforum.com for one, there are several members of bitcointalk.org that are having this same issue and they are all asking for someone to help them notify the administrators of this forum. I am the one who took the initiative to find another IP to make a post from to notify the admins.

5. stop thinking you know it all and someone have an ounce of decency to help make the admins aware of the problem. a dozen have came forward on other forums asking for help because they too cannot post here anymore.

Is there no community left in this forum at all? you are all so quick to try and troll someone who you think is a noob when he is an age old member just trying to help members who are affected by this IP issue. There is something wrong in the database. cloned IP's or something, i guarantee when the admins look at the sql they will find an issue either with timers being stuck or IP's being repeated.

I'll consider this a last ditch effort, if there is no resolve. then i will report back to the other forums where members are asking for help that the sense of community at [Suspicious link removed] does not care that members are having issues.

Since the crash and hack of the website every time i log in to my account and try and message, or post, or do anything that involves submitting anything to this forum i get the following error message

You were able to make this post, so the information you give cannot be true.

The rate of posting is limited so one newbie-status spammer doesn't immediately make 100 posts that have to be followed up on and deleted.

If you were legitimately not able to create a second post after waiting over six minutes, then this is an issue that could be looked at by the site admin (not mods) if you keep logs of your IP address and the times you pressed "post".

You can only post once every 360 seconds to start and there are a few other things that trigger this timer such as logging in and searching.

If you always waiting 5 minutes between login an posts, the reason might be some other bitcointalk user have the same IP address.

WAIT THE 360 SECONDS!
You can't do anything about it except not being a newbie, so bite the bullet and stop complaining. Tongue

I have tried clearing my cache, made a new account, i have tried everything, i had to run down the road to starbucks to try and make a post from a different IP to see if it would work. Can you PLEASE look into this, i know i am not the only one, and nobody can speak up about it because they cannot make post's or send messages. I have seen a bunch of other people on other forums saying they had this issue on this forum and cant notify anyone of it asking for someone to please make a post to let the MOD's know of the issue.

Thanks
