I agree that this is nothing new, I often saw it on Twitter, but also in the comments below the popular YT videos - the best protection is not to believe anything that is too good to be true.
The trick is this. However some are really cant stop themselves from doing free coins or tokens or something that involves money. Can't blame them but they should make sure that what they are going is legit and not a petty scammer waiting for their ignorance to hatch.

Anyway thanks for reporting too. The site must be go down soon to avoid victims of such scam.

Twitter is a shitty website anyway so I don't think that they will be able to cater the reports, it really is a sad thing because if you try and search for something that is pretty perverted in Twitter, there is a lot of it and no reports are made on this and has been happening for a long time.
Its on social media so everyone can freely make or do something like this. But we can help by reporting the website and tagged it as scam site. For me I could assure that its a scam site so we better report it and turn it down. No need to confirm it to pancakeswap, those guys are not low like this so obviously these are the scammers and lurers did.
What I am saying is that reporting this scams proliferating in social media is a futile thing because the moderation team are short-handed and ineffective in terms of addressing this report, imagine there are millions of scams and every scam is reported and there are only a thousand in moderation team, I don't think that they are going to be able to address all of that.

I don't think that you ever tried to report a suspicious post in the Twitter platform. If you ever tried it, you can notice that it will be instantly deleted, yet the moderation and security even in any social media websites isn't really that high. With the vast numbers of posts created every single second, do you think that a group of people could watch all of those? Twitter has been a great platform to promote legitimate projects and most of projects that were popularized on that platform returned a huge profit to investors. I don't know why a simple act of reporting a post that is a scam is pointless on your opinion..

It's the same tricks like what we have being seeing for few months, For example fake elon musk giveaways. Nothing new here Smiley

Basically they just changing the currency of giveaways according to which project are trending in market. They choose that currency to make such scam. Ignoring to visit such site is the best solution to skip them imo at this moment. Because when they see that they are getting enough traffic to their site they keep running this way until 0 traffic.Smiley

So you are suggesting ignore since we cant match up the number of those reporting and those who are interested to scam everyday. Maybe the idea its hurting but a small act still helps lessen the evilness of those guys.

Ignoring is the easiest option for most, but it only helps scammers succeed in their intention. I personally reported the site via Google phishing (you can make a direct report via Chrome and Firefox browsers -> click Help in settings), and I don't know how much it makes sense to report to the hosting provider.

I will spend a lot of time if going to report all of these websites.
Thats the idea. The website must be turn down immediately cause the information on a proven scam is more display and seen there.

This is not a new spam promotion technique. Posting in a comment, thus bypassing rules and stay out of Twitter administration radar.
On my TW account, I have similar comments on almost every post. Just ignore them. I will spend a lot of time if going to report all of these websites.

btw. Twitter algo. doing some nice work in a case like this. If the spammer account had enough blocks from trusted acc. his comments going to hidden and it's not visible by default. So, just block them (if they are purely spammer) it will probably be blocked by many accounts and that will take him to the stealth side.

If we look at the information of the domain, then it is only 2 days old. And scammers may have just started promoting this phishing website on different social media sites. But you caught them on Twitter, good job mate.

this modus has become pretty common throughout social media platforms. if you wander around Facebook clicking comment sections on posts, videos, and articles for an hour especially from popular pages and accounts there is a high chance that you'll encounter them. the sad thing about is that when the post is reported it takes so long before any action is done.

Hi guys, I've just scanning twitter post on my feed and noticed that a post tweet by coincodesk has some comments.

https://twitter.com/Cointelegraph/status/1387637771918094337?s=19

Its just odd that when I scrolled noticed these two response has attached profile of pancake swap bonus account. Obviously pancake wouldn't give such amount as bonus and method like that.

Check their response:

Following their link will get you this profile.

Obviously this is a dummy account. The real pancakeswap twitter has too many followers. Also there is a site attached to it that have content like this ( see below quoted message)

Code:
https://pancakebonus.com/

To verify your CAKE address, just send from 50 to 10,000 CAKE to the generated address below and get from 150 to 30,000 CAKE sent back to the address you sent CAKE from or the one you specified below, you will get X3 of what you send to the giveaway address.

In this event, participant will get 3X(TRIPPLE) of whatever they send to the giveaway address instantly which can be traded on any exchange

How To Participate:
Step1: Make sure you have at least 50 CAKE or above in your wallet.
Step2: Enter the amount you wish to invest below.
Step3: Enter the CAKE address you want to receive the bonus with
Step4: Click the "Generate Payment" button to generate the payment address.
Step5: Send the amount you entered to the generated address.
Step6: Wait for at least 5 - 10 minutes after your transaction is confirmed.
The 3X bonus will be sent to the address you entered or the one you sent the CAKE from.

Breward everyone this is very tempting but the protocol or process they used are for amateurs. No one would send a payment for a free giveaway damn.[/hr]
