Your update already fixed it, the height has been updated.
Just wait for the GUI/node to sync all blocks and you're good to go.
If it doesn't sync and froze your PC, just use "remote node" (google it).

Check your firewall too, the port used by the GUI might be blocked.

Now maybe try the --block-sync-size 10 option.  I had to resort to that too but I used size 20.

EDIT:  I didn't read your post closely enough so I had to change what I posted.


Do you have the latest version of the GUI?  Almost looks like it is saying you need a newer version for blocks beyond that point.  


Current Version: 0.11.1.0 Helium Hydra

i am using that version

Do you have the latest version of the GUI?  Almost looks like it is saying you need a newer version for blocks beyond that point.

I've been trying to sync my monero gui wallet but it seems to be taking forever. As a result I can't see any monero sent to my wallet.

 I even tried entering "--block-sync-size 10" but it is stuck at 777** blocks remaining and the number is actually increasing!

The status is filled with messages like this

I'm using samsung 960 pro ssd and 1gbps fibre connection so I doubt it's a connection or ssd issue,.
