Hi,

I'm blocking VPN traffic on server level.. I was wondering; Is there a way to monetize VPN traffic?
Perhaps I can redirect them to a service that pays bitcoins or something?

All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Dave

That is quite a weird question to ask. It's no different from regular traffic. How would you know it's a vpn anyway ? You won' know. My IP changes since we have dynamic addresses not static. I also use a dns , I need it for hulu and netflix. But a dns is different from a vpn. But you can monetize it the same way as regular traffic there really is no difference unless you running vpn and proxy to abuse the system.

Bitcointalk uses "units of evil" when someone registers from a VPN/TOR-address. It then asks for a payment in Bitcoin to be able to register.
You could do this too: instead of blocking the traffic, throw up a financial barrier to allow the user to access the site anyway.

Thanks for the reply. That's why I'm looking for a host that accepts VPN traffic.

maybe redirect them to fill some survey,it's kind of easy money, but i don't think a VPN traffic would gives you reward that much because vpn traffic considered as low quality traffic, but any kind of pop ads seems could help you a little bit to gain more profit
but still beware of being accussed providing fake traffic
