France is a very difficult country to manage. Markron is not a reformer. Socialism is not suitable for France. Now many countries cannot adapt to socialism. I have seen news reports that the French unrest is very dangerous. France may be just the beginning. Panic will spread throughout Europe.

Very interesting; as can be seen, speculation and bad monetary policy are certainly not today's inventions.
(in fact, it seems that the first monetary crisis we know of is that of ancient Rome, under Tiberius ...)
Instructive.

French Revolution...Its important to note how once the inflationary spiral has started, very few people realize the real cause of prices rising, the monetary inflation, and keep demanding more monetary inflation as to pay for the higher prices, leading to more distortions in the economy and making the problem even worse, until the final collapse.

I saw the video last week and found it very intersting. Had no idea of that episode of inflation during those years. Guillotines must have been quite expensive in nominal terms!  Cheesy

Goldmoney and Max Keiser have produced a very good video of the monetary events that played a basic role around the French Revolution.
