A year is too long ptobably. For bitcoin totally. Looking for a profit? Find something you can rent and earn money that way.

Or find a service or a fund that's going to manage your finances. Maybe robots...

He's actually decided to put the investment on hold due to volatility in the market at the moment.

The crypto market is highly volatile and I'm sure he knows that. He needs to ensure he buys the dip and not be in a haste especially the current sell off that started yesterday. Keeping an eye on the market is equally very important as he takes this all important decision can make or mar him. Good luck to him

In my country rents are paid per annum. So a friend is considering investing the money in bitcoins to make some profits just before the rent gets due some time next year. What is your advise for him? Do you think this is foolhardy or wise decision?
