OP I have some questions related to project if you dont' mind. Overally project and idea is good, especially reddit and twitter function, seems unique offer but as you offer send bitcoins via mobile number, what happens if sms didn't reach to recipient? Can we more than once? Also who is sms api provider and is it possible to send sms from any name/number?
I think additionally facebook bot would be great, wish you success.

Are you trying to sell this site or just want to do a giveaway?
If it's the second one, maybe just put the code on GitHub and then make an info on several forums about this project.
Anyone can fork the code and begin their own development after that if anybody is interested.

He is selling it for 1 Bitcoin you can check the thread he created here
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-moneybadgerio-full-website-domain-resources-code-etc-5118652 I stumble a similar site like this one, I think they are using the same script, it's profitable if you know how to run and market this kind of website good luck on finding a buyer.

I have tried to compare the code against currently existing projects. It looks custom built. Do you remember what the similar site was?

I guess you'll just be selling the infrastructure or the code of the website since you aren't making any profit?

The domain is nice, but you've put in no marketing, and have no frequent users, which means no guaranteed profits.

You might just want to sell the code, or package the sale as selling code for sites that would like to do what your doing, as well with adding extra code/options for sites that want to add on to your code.

I don't know why everyone is so inclined towards stats and the number of visitors. The concept is great, all the core functionalities are implemented, the only thing to do is revamp the design and market it. 1BTC is a very reasonable price for the code and of course, it is deployed!

Good Luck with the sale OP!

Its not really. App is simple and can be made and deployed in a couple of days. So if it does not have profit, the reasonable price for this would be few hundred $ at best considering the design.

I don't know why everyone is so inclined towards stats and the number of visitors.

Because they want to monetize the site imo. That's probably the first thing that comes in mind if you run a website. If it's not profitable (don't have enough exposure etc) then having that site needs more work.

Lots of visitor + high traffic is an adsense heaven.
Yes but that can be done even after buying the website right? If the site is making enough money and profits, the owner wouldn't sell it for cheap in the first place. SEO/Link building strategies are easy to implement to rank the website anyway. If the site concept is interesting, everything else is pretty much achievable at minimal costs.

Would you buy a company that has all of the infrastructure but 0 profit, probably not.

The website is worth something, for sure, but only as much as the code is worth (+ maybe a tad bit more for history/setup time)

If the website has 0 stats (or very low stats), isn't quite pulling a lot of profit, and a similar website may cost me 0.5 BTC to build from a developer, why wouldn't I just spend 0.5 BTC to get the same website built at 50% off. I'd have to do the SEO/link building anyways, plus dev would be under my oversight (less risk)

I'm not trying to be a you know what, but that's how business works. If something can be easily replicated/not proprietary, it really comes down to the usage of the site. If it's a popular site & people rely on it, that's a different story.

TBH, without awesome stats (I'm not sure 6000 visitors in a week is enough), the site isn't worth 1BTC.

You'd have to go off code value, not brand value. The site could easily be built/replicated for under 1BTC.

If you really wish to sell, I'd recommend either doing 1 of 2 things (or both):

- Lower your price (or convert to auction with lower but respectable amount)
OR
- Provide more stats to prove value.
if those 6000 visitors also using the website then it's a really worthy offer. even if half of them are regular users then still it's profitable.

Sites design isn't bad but sending out funds fiat & BTC thru email, sms, reddit & twitter is pure nonsense.
Facebook also had such a service. in facebook message there was a feature with which users could send money directly to others. recently facebook closed this service. I don't know the reason. maybe that was because of lack of security.

The stats shared were covering a lot more than 3 months - Jan 2017-Mar 2019. Consider these a red herring though, as I mentioned in the other thread - the stats / pagehits via Analytics etc. would be negligible and not worth sharing as the site has been dormant for quite a while now. Ie. pagehits are pretty meaningless if nobody knows about a service.

The reasons for this being a good opportunity for a new owner are because it's already up and running so would require no additional coding and because it can be extended further in so many ways. As I mentioned before, it's not been marketed, so with a new pair of eyes and proper direction, it could have a lot of potential.

I've just dropped the asking price in the other thread.
An overview is as follows -

  • Built on a LAMP stack
  • Running Bitcoin core 0.16.0
  • Integrated with Google Analytics and other API's
  • All resources/images/hosting/accounts etc will be transferred to the seller
  • Code walk-through can be provided once the sale is completed

Where are you getting 6000 visitors per week from?

In his thread in the Services section, he shared a screenshot that shows 6000 pageviews over a period of little over 3 months.
https://imgur.com/a/pVXkHOr (screenshot from that thread)

See the date range, 1st of January till the 11th of March.

Edit:
Aha, yeah the graph shows stats per week, but that's not the the rest of the stats, right?

Yea, not entirely sure on that one.

I'd have to take a look at my own analytics to verify. Or OP, if you could verify whether those stats are weekly, or for the specified time period, that'd be awesome.

I wish you success but I think you were not successful in the idea of the site.
The goal of cryptocurrencies is to break the barrier of need for a trusted third party who manages coins between sender and receiver.
You offer a service similar to banks where you have to trust in your site until the process of sending and receiving.

+ This type of service does not provide an extra layer of privacy but makes connecting between users very easy.
Also, what exchange API do you use in BTC/altcoin exchange?

If you do seek out for people who would continue this project then there would be lots of adjustments to do.

Here's a nice opportunity for someone looking to take over and build upon an existing, already-built project.

I don't have any time to give MoneyBadger.io the attention it deserves in terms of marketing, improvements, and developing new features.

See the following for more info - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-moneybadgerio-full-website-domain-resources-code-etc-5118652
