apparently many have sold due to the media proclaiming india is going to ban bitcoin/cryptos. However, Indias finance minister stated crypto is just not legal tender and they will take all measures to crack down on illegal activities via crypto.

here is his full statement. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DU8HY9lXcAU6uA1.jpg

FUD's always there so we just have to deal with it. But unfortunately, there are newcomers who are not used to experienced this kind of price crash and now giving them a regret that they entered on the high price without realizing that bitcoin was supposed to considered as long term so no worries if they bought on top.

About the link, it's clear that the action is all about taking down illegal activities on crypto and not to imposed a ban on the crypto itself.

FUDs will stay as long as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies exist. This is how people/group of people attacks Bitcoin. They flip facts and exaggerate news in order to trigger panics and alike. Maybe they want Bitcoin to bite the dust for good because they see Bitcoin as a threat or they just want Bitcoin's price to decline as much as possible in order for them to buy some more at a very low price. Regardless of their motives, they want Bitcoin's price to go down. Thus, these FUDs.

You are right according to the facts.

The FUD itself is brought up by a madman profess to be an expert, rumor sites can make all these theories seem plausible, and unfortunately, a bunch of fools devour FUD outright, without searching for his truth. Finally, happened (Panic Sell) among them. I think, this action just the same by feeding large whales.

People are always spreading FUD, I've seen so many threads proclaiming that India will ban bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. People really just are incapable of reading and it's so frustrating.

I get you, but while people sell the market down in panic, it offers others looking to enter the market a great opportunity to do so -- from there these corrections aren't all that bad by default. The thing with this market is that as long as everyone is taking fud for granted and sell as result, it means that spreading fud is an extremely successful way of manipulating the market down. The only way to stop this is when people simply ignore everything and just continue with what they were doing, but that's not the case due to people's ignorance. If people actually took the effort to understand Bitcoin and its market, we would move forward with far less drama to form a potential later obstacle once again.

This is not only because of a few more events. Here's a whole list :-
1)Facebook stating that they are banning ads for Bitcoin and ICOs (to stop ICO scams)
2)South Korea regulating bitcoin exchanges and bithumb is no longer the largest crypto currency exchange (which is true).
3) US senate to investigate more on USDT and exchanges to accept USD rather than USDT(which again is also true)

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency and of a truth did not demand governments endorsement for it to become legal. Bitcoin has proving that it can serve as a mode of payment for goods and services and a store of value more than any financial system around the world. If we most advance then people most see bitcoin as money and as money FUD should not be a reason why you are selling off but you are selling because you have store it for long and you want to take profit. Indian government is not banning bitcoin or other cryptocurrency but people that are using it for illegal means.

It's understandable that india would crack down in btc and crypto transactions to protect it's citizens from people uaing crypto for illegal purposes. But it isn't like people can't go to exchanges and do trades. I think there's been a big misunderstanding that india banned anything crypto. Though with the meteoric rise of bitcoin last december, i think many of us already expected a harsh crackdown soon and here it is.
