I think CPU mining money is very thin, I think you can buy AMD's graphics card for mining...
Atm, GPU miners are being hit disaster by market situation and Bitmain product so if your suggestion to buy a graphics card for now, of course this time isn't the right time unless @OP isn't concerned with ROI.

Personally, I advise not buying a graphics card for now.

If i prefer to independently mine the most profitable because like some member above said RX580 better mine in Ethash algorithm although 1070 can it mine in there (ethash) but not excellent than AMD.

So i thought: Means more hardware a faster ROI?
If one year ago "Yes" but for now, "No"

I would allow each coin to mine whatever is most profitable for that individual card. If you are mining something and you could be making a bit more profit on another algorithm, then you are simply making your ROI take longer and are actually harming your profits. There are a lot of programs that allow you to benchmark your hardware and it will automatically switch algorithms to whichever is the most profitable at any given time.

Depending on the algo you choice GPU vendor, best all around is Nvidia 1080ti.

Here is the typical breakdown

AMD is good for Etihash and Cryptonitev7
Nvidia for Equihash, PHI1612, Lyra2REv2 and xaven

the AMD RX580 it good one other algo/coins than 1070. You should mine what is best for that architecture. That way you will ROI fastest. It might happen that both mine the same coin but not very likely

Hi!

im quite new to mining, and im just starting to tweak my rigs. Im currently using RX 580s, but i also have a 1070.
Should all my hardware mine the same coin or should each hardware independently mine the most profitable for it?
Because on whattomine.com for example if i put in one 580 and one 1070 it says to mine eth, but with just the 1070 it changes a lot but eth is never on the top.
So i thought: Means more hardware a faster ROI?
