I was excited when I talked to a guy at work and he knew what altcoins and btc were. He said it was a bubble and I disagreed .

Agreed, to me, the proliferation of ATM's is the single most encouraging thing going on in bitcoin right now.
More than 100 of them are planned for the United Arab Emirates, according to Sergey Yusupov of Umbrellab. But right now only one is working (in the city of Dubai, inaugurated two weeks ago).
