Hello everybody,

Are you 100% sure that selling BTC is illegal in Morocco?

What you say is absolutely true when it comes to currencies. But as far I know, Bitcoin is not considered as a currency by the Moroccan government at the moment, is it?

That's why I am asking: are you talking by experience? Do you know people who got into troubles because of Bitcoin trading in Morocco?

I am asking because I live in Morocco and I'm interested into BTC.

You may want to keep in mind that it is contrary to the laws of Morocco to export any currency whereas criminal liability will attach to the transactions aformentioned.

It is also illegal to trade the currency that you import, your EUR/USD must be presented to a goverment approved currency dealer within 30 days of landing into Morocco, at that point all your cash must be converted to Moroccan Dirhams.

So for you guys to be selling BTC would be contrary to selling to a registered currency dealer, though I dont think you will do much time if you got caught.

However, if you are caught selling BTC to the Gendarmerie or worse a Customs/Douanes undercover, you will definately be arrested and put into remand if you are not a Moroccan citizen (i.e. you WILL NOT get bail if you are a flight risk)

its very risky one please careful guys with this don't take any chance about your security  Sad
