Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
Because of the warnings giving by users to avoid links and ads I am even afraid to click links even if the lick is provided by a user here. Malware is something virus creators normally send to the internet  and not everyone is aware that the message that is send to them is a malware until them confirm the link and when the system malfunction. Most of the time these malware threads are presented to the receiver in a very good manner. Sometime it is a very pretty girl is used to present in the message which would convinced the bearer of the message. These malware threads always seen in spam box in the message box.
But this is the first time I am hearing Mortal Kombat ransomware. Thank you for the information.

Knowledge and awareness are the best defense, you may have the best antiviruses in the market but if you keep on clicking unwanted ads and links one of these malware can get in unnoticed.
I am still a Windows user because of the application that I'm using, so I have a heightened alert about this malware, knowledge and the best AVs in the market are just two ways to combat getting your PC infected.
You really have to know what to avoid scammers are good at marketing and cloaking their malware.
We should never download random or random applications because that will cause malware viruses to arrive without us realizing it. In essence, we have to be careful, especially when storing bitcoins in a hot wallet, of course anything can happen with a malware virus that can clipboard your coin address.

With this news, of course, it should remind us of more awareness, especially in advertisements or phishing sites, which provide many loopholes, because it needs attention and I must remain vigilant not to install any application carelessly.

Just ignore the e-mail that is not known or suspicious.

I Always avoid scam emails and double-check after copying any important text or wallet. This is a serious issue. How can a virus replace a wallet address from the clipboard, and how does it know that the user will send bitcoin?
Know that viruses are one of the types of malware, but malware are many. Viruses even only causes damage to devices and it also makes devices to function abnormally. But the malware that are used as clipboard malware are more related to trojan.

You are talking about clipboard malware. I too do not really know how it replaced original address to a fake one, but you can read a little more about it on the link that I provided above. The main thing is that we should avoid it as we know what the malware are capable of and how to avoid the malware.

It is everywhere, and yes we need to double-check everything when it comes to the internet. The virus can enter to our computer in many ways including what OP said "Mortal Kombat that contain viruses".

There is a virus through email and there is through and ads or Phishing websites. I will share a tips including using VPN and Adblocker and never open and link or item that have been send to your Email, telegram or discord that you don't know the person is.

Scan on virustotal website is right to do.

The malware are downloaded as usual, through email. Learn how to avoid malware if you know you want to protect yourselves. Do not forget that the safest wallets are cold wallets and hardware wallets, but clipboard malware may still be able to penetrate all kinds of wallets.

Should i agree that even the cold storage cannot cannot be attacked, they may only try to engage using a different means but to penetrate in which is why using a cold storage requires a device that has no internet connectivities on a airgapped device, also we need to keep our keys safely by avoiding them being kept on the internet cloud storage, we must by ourselves first laid the foundation to how we can get protected before seeking means from other sources that could be the channel to our vulnerability for an attack, once they see you don't download from mails received they change strategies to set another attack using phishing malwares through the internet we use often.

Despite the different names, the way it works is similar, which is that it tries to deceive the user into voluntarily giving his money to the third party, and thus with a little care you can avoid most of them, such as checking addresses several times, not downloading random programs, learning more, and allocating cold storage with a device Separate broadcast transactions.

With increasing awareness, all these attacks are expected to fail.
