KYC exchanges:
-Active, high volume transactions
-Small amount

KYC free exchanges:
-Slow, lack of volume
-High amount or premium price

You want to get quick trade with small amount in KYC free exchanges? There's no DEX with that criteria. You will need to use CEX but the problem is about your KYC, Kucoin is the option. Or you can trade in this forum by P2P, but be careful with scammer.

Not really yet I think although without KYC needed have an exchange with higher amount transaction volume just weakness limited withdrawing under 2 btc every day. I think Kucoin still giving service and available trading or withdrawing without passing KYC just under 2 BTC in daily day, there are have many altcoin listing with bigger volume transaction. Just Binance and Bittrex need to KYC for trading and withdrawing assets there, if any one never agree with KYC procedure can use Kucoin exchange market or can try with Hotbit exchange during withdraw under 2 BTC every day.

Right now, the OP just want to have quick trades. So I am assuming, his funds will get in and get out fast. The advantage with kucoin is that they have relatively good liquidity where he can trade fast. Though he needs to look out for possible KYC implementation as I believe as well, that sooner or later, kucoin may follow the path of binance. But for now, maybe, take the opportunity to trade in that exchange, they have good list of trading pairs also. Had no prob also with my trading experience in that exchange.
Fact are:
  • At start, people know of risk on CEX where they don't own private key & they think they just use CEX for short term trades.
  • In the end, they become more familiar & comfortable with CEX so that original fear will disappear or blur significantly.
  • They will leave their coins on CEX for months and in bad situation, it is beginning of nightmare

I am sure that not many people can be disciplined on how they use CEX. Make deposits, finish your trades and withdraw instantly after you finished your trades. Can you do so? I guess most of people will say No, because they have to take into consideration of withdrawal fee that is sucked and expensive on CEX. [1]

For such a small amount, you should be able to use able to buy using your credit card and with any big platform as well. AFAIK, Simplex, Binance, etc. should all work. You might be required to fill in your name, etc. but that's about it. That's for fiat. As for alts, then you've got OKEX.

Go for Kucoin, they have a great service and a great platform without asking for any KYC, altcoins are also available on this exchange and you can trade that amount there though I don’t suggest to trade that much with your $25 since the fees of trading might not be enough for that money if ever.
Yes, this is the right choice for now.
I am using it for small amounts of WAX that I accumulated in NFT games and I had not come to a problem with selling those coins and even with withdrawals after exchange.
Surely, someday they will require KYC but until then we could take advantage of the Non-KYC being offered and also lesser fees. The best part is, it's a trusted exchange so you won't have to be frightened about keeping for a week or a month until you accumulated the average withdrawal amount.

I am wanting to use some KYC free exchanges, what are some of the most popular / active ones? Quicker trades are what I'm hoping for. It would only be for small amounts - < $25 If they offer altcoins that's a bonus, if not it's no problem.

Thanks.

Kucoin is the best choice when you want to trade into other altcoins using a small capital, you don't need to worry about the KYC because you're within a minimum limit.  This exchange platform supported more coins and based on CMC trade volume which is a good amount to start trading which your order execute very fast.  With 750 pairs to trade and supporting more than 380 cryptocurrencies, it's a good place for a purpose of trading while avoiding KYC.

But this is good if you're outside in the US.

Hard to think of one when you say KYC-free because most exchanges have been hammered with regulations.

I am NOT suggesting you anything because these exchanges can go scam anytime but I am simply telling what sites I use for quick exchanges without KYC

Fixedfloat - They charge some 1% fees and do exchanges automatically and instantly

Changenow - I have heard bad things about them but honestly the site works fine for me, but hey I am doing small exchanges

Please USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK and I am only sharing what I do, not what I want you to do.

I see all the comments promoting Dex, which obviously are the best type of exchanges and surely the ones you can completely trust. But as you have mentioned
1. The amounts will be small
2. You want quicker trades

For both these requirements, I would rather suggest you use any Centralized exchange, go for Kucoin, there is no KYC requirement in Kucoin, make your quick trades and withdraw the money from that exchange to your wallets, I don't think you will have any issue. But yes as others have mentioned, eventually you will see all the centralized exchanges coming up with the KYC compliance requirement.

Not that am putting this exchange on the list but is etherdelta/forkdelta still an active dex because these where quite popular at one point, not sure if they still are...and they were kyc which is why they were popular though liquidity was not much....

Btw does bestexhange count to be an exchange...

[BIG LIST] Buy/Sell Crypto (OTC, P2P, DEXs, CEXs, NO-KYC, ATMs, etc.)

That topic gives good list of P2P, no-KYC exchanges, so you can filter from that list and choose one that you like. Don't forget to double check on Coinmarketcap and Coingecko with Exchange score on Coinmarketcap and Trust score on Coingecko for an exchange you are interested in.
Thanks for this found some great exchanges using this Smiley

I use KuCoin mostly, and from time to time Hotbit... we don't need KYC for these two, but there are some limitations for withdrawing, but I don't mind that, I am under that! I am not sure for how long we will be able to use centralized exchanges without KYC, looks like all of them will have a mandatory KYC rule one day... until that time I will have fun on the ones that don't ask for it and after that, I will go fully on some decentralized ones, I believe some of them will be KYC free forever!
You can enjoy them now but they are centralized exchanges and I am sure sooner or later they will require KYC. As a fact of regulation, we will see more regulations from governments globally. It is unavoidable trend because governments won't let the crypto market is free of their controls and regulations. Centralized exchanges will be one of first targets they will aim at.

In addition, always remember that "Not your keys, not your coins". KYC or non-KYC is not most important factor. The vital factor you must consider is you have to own private key of your coins.

It really depends on choosing an exchange how are you going to use that. There are a few instant exchanges that do not require KYC. But it's not all about trading there due to the high fee. If you are wondering about day trading then you have to choose a reputed centralized exchange. But most of the reputed centralized exchanges require KYC verification during withdrawal. As far as I know, KuCoin still allows users to withdraw funds without KYC though there would be a limit. But keep in mind, you should be ready to provide KYC if you choose a centralized exchange. Because we don't know who change the policy and when. If you use Decentralized exchange there is a Liquidity issue and high transaction fees as well. So decide which exchange you need to use, there is a decent exchange list in the first post.

I don't think it's safe even you want to put small amount of capital to trade because you know op most platform that don't require kyc isn't secured and there is a huge potential of loss after all..
I don't think that there's something to worry about even if the exchange isn't requiring kyc to their users. Kucoin is one reputable exchange that's part of the list that's not yet requiring KYC to their users but soon they may.

The list given by IIrik11 has some exchanges that have already changed their policy towards KYC. AFAIK, paxful and localbitcoins are no longer kyc free.

Why not with kyc since most of them are trusted? Indeed you can enjoy their full features  wherein no worries even you store money in it as well because surely they're secured . So better think about it.

The list that IIrik11 gave is accurate. Since you are a new users the best advice we can give is "not your keys not your coins". Do your trades and take your money, do not leave your BTC or any crypto for that matter sitting out there on an exchange. Keep them in a wallet you control.

You can also take a look here for discussions about many of the exchanges: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0
