Is Bitstamp a viable option?

I've been using coinbase, but I'm looking to buy large amounts (to me) of BTC for purchasing gear - and the fees I feel like are started to eat me up.  That coupled with the fact I have to wait so many business days, is hurting my ability to get things done quicker.

Bitstamp seems like a cheaper option if you're trying to buy large amounts, just sucks for US citizens that we can't do what looks like a free SEPA transfer, and have to do a wire transfer (again added fees and waiting).

Are there any options for US Citizens to do SEPA transfers?  Also I was thinking about making my own thread - more for resellers for BTC gear who need to convert their revenue back into BTC, but blah

you can purchase shares in both the bitcoin Trading and Mining pools, and fund their account with bitcoin, BTC-e, Perfect Money, EgoPay, PexPay, OKPay.

Well, I think I found a great way to do it!

I am now on #Bitcoin-OTC and have made my first purchase there.

It was very smooth, but I got lucky to have a trusted member walk me through everything.  If you go there make sure to read the "newbie" guide!

My name over there is boogiewu if anyone has any questions!

try https://localbitcoins.com/ and pay with wire transfer
or search in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
there are a lot of sellers accept many payment options

Thanks I'll start there.

Local Bitcoins prices seem.... very inflated considering my wire transfer fees!

You should expect to pay a good sized premium using localbitcoins.  Unfortunately there are not many other options using paypal or based in the US.  You could use Coinbase but you need a bank account, paypal wont do it there.

I was looking to buy Bitcoins with my Paypal account but have seen that it is highly unlikely due to fraud.

I was wondering what the quickest and most cost effective methods are other than Paypal (I already maxed out my Coinbase for the week).

Thanks!
