Thanks for the response!
That is what i thought (feared?) would be the case.

If I were to make three different pools for each machine it would take a long time for them to mine a single block though, right? So there would be rarer payouts?
As I said they are running on nicehash right now but we were wondering if there is a way where we end up with more profit than if we use it.

You need multiple petahash on a pool for the pay to be consistent. Also those 3 machines all mine different algos, they need to connect to a pool that matches. They cannot all be on the same pool.

S9 mines bitcoins/SHA256 coins
L3 mines litecoins/Scrypt coins
D3 mines DASH/X11 coins

For maximum profits you would have each one mining to its own respective pool and you would just maintain 3 wallets. If you dont want to do all of that you can use something like nicehash which will take a portion of your profits but pay everything out in BTC.

Hello everyone,

I have done a lot of reading over the last few days but I'm still kind of new to the whole mining thing, so I'm sorry if my questions do reflect that.
One of my clients that I usually do Programming/IT stuff for told me out of the blue that he purchased a setup of 3 miners and wants to start mining bitcoin and asked to "consult" him on the best way to do so.

The machines are:
S9 Antminer
L3+ LTC Miner
D3 Dash coin miner
(Not quite sure about the combined TH/s)

Now I'm looking for the most efficient way to mine with these three. He told me he currently has them hooked up to nicehash because setup was easy, but I assume that's far from the best.
The options I'm looking into are either something with a better payout system like KanoPool or countless others, or starting an own Pool. He wants me to set up a Pool only for his 3 machines but I'm not sure if that's the most efficient thing to do since blocks will take a while. I also did some reading on setting up Pools. It doesn't seem to hard since I did smiliar things with Apache Servers before, but I'm not sure if I can straight up combine the mining power of the 3 machines since they mine different things.

So yeah.. that is my question. What do you suggest someone with these 3 machines do to mine Bitcoins most efficiently?

Thanks in advance for your time!
