Pretty good list. I would also add Andreas M. Antonopoulos, well-respected Btc entrepenaur, and also Michael J. Saylor, ceo of MicroStrategy. Saylor is arguably the most influential figure when it comes to CEO's of public companies embracing Bitcoin.

I'd include more exchange founders rather than just developers.

Yeah. I would add Brian Armstrong (Coinbase) to that list. I know Coinbase gets a lot of hate (some of it is well-deserved, tbh), but this exchange has been instrumental in the growth of cryptocurrencies for the past decade.

Maybe you should add Elon Musk?

Doge is no joke anymore and certainky Elon have more influece compare to the listed guys above. He did managed to bring twitter price down, he would probably drag the price down to take it from the board members for cheaper price that what he previously bid.

So the reason why he made a lot of enemy though but still he is influencial in crypto. Didnt he made millions out of doge?

Pretty good list. I would also add Andreas M. Antonopoulos, well-respected Btc entrepenaur, and also Michael J. Saylor, ceo of MicroStrategy. Saylor is arguably the most influential figure when it comes to CEO's of public companies embracing Bitcoin, really helped to change the negative view that many ppl had on Btc and cryptos

Maybe you should add Elon Musk? As what I have witnessed when he post something in his Twitter that coin really pumps or dumps. I remember when he Tweeted about Dogecoin and Bitcoin the price really soar high and whenever he looks to other altcoins or even uses the name in his Tweet they pump too. And as you can see the countless sh*tcoins that pops with his name on it like Dogelon coin.

This was already in the past.  I don't think Elon still has that influence on him.  He even got a bonus from his previous action : Tesla, SpaceX, and Musk sued by dogecoin investor for $258 billion.  If you consider Elon then you should also consider McAffee.  Grin

I could have said more but they are already mentioned in the earlier replies.

What about Do Kwon? He is the legendary CEO that manage to turn millionaire to McDonalds crew. This shit thinks that he can get away easily to the poor judgement that he did to resolve Luna UST attack.
Agreed! When it comes to influence, I think. Do Kwon should be on the list, he is somehow a veru popular person now, aside from being a big time scammer, he releases another 2.0 of luna which surely will br another epic ponzi scheme among the crypto projects out there.
dont forget he also create poor man be rich man for those taking profit luna from 0,5 to 100  Grin and also for those short from any price to 0.000000x in future. and today Do Kwon known as best scammer from top project in crypto market , it is so sad how he from zero to hero. no one will believe him anymore no matter how many strategy he proposed to save luna, everything is done for luna and move to another projects.

Most of those guys are very active innovating good projects and updates on their platform, we should always follow them and see some good updates from them but of course we still need to analyze so we don't become a victim of a hype. I don't follow some of the guy here since I'm not familiar with their project that much, and maybe this list can help me on analyzing new projects, hoping that those influential people in crypto space will use it to educate more people and not just to spread fud and hype.

Well, he can be there and count for one of the most influential crypto people in the world. He did literally influenced a lot of people with his scamming tactic.

He made everyone believed that all of his creations were good but eventually turned into a scam. While he's sitting in billions now with people's money, many have suffered.

You can follow them, read their tweets, watch their lives and read their articles/ blogs but if you invest because of influential people, you will get rekted some day.

To invest successfully in crypto market, you need more than opinion from influential people. You must learn and prepare knowledge for yourself. Investment decisions should be made from your knowledge, your research and your carefully consideration. Even so, you will get lot of losses from your investment. I think the odds between successful and failed investment is 20/80 or even smaller.

If you only invest in Bitcoin and has ability hold it more than 4 years, you will succeed.

You forgot to add some guys that were creating very very big problem in the crypto.

Where is faketoshi aka CSW, this guy was creating so much noise in the crypto when this faketoshi claimed so many times to be the real satoshi nakamoto. How stupid people who are still following this faketoshi right now. This needs to be added in that list to make sure people know if the faketoshi was exist.

The second one must be elon musk.

I do believe if you know that so well how big the impact created by elon when meme trend was happening. With only on tweet from him and yeah bunch of meme tokens appeared in the market and mostly of these tokens were scam and spam tokens.

Since we're talking about cryptocurrency's history, I'd rather focus on those who really paved the way for the creation of Bitcoin. The cypherpunks should be given due credit. They're the ones who made the earliest steps which Satoshi made use of.

I guess it would also be good if we include Laszlo Hanyecz since he was the first man to spend Bitcoin on something.

I wouldn't be giving too much credit to those who came into the scene with no other thing in mind than make profit. They're nothing but selfish individuals.

You also forget Andreas M. Antonopoulos is a technologist and serial entrepreneur who has become one of the most famous and respected figures in bitcoin, and he is the author of two books: “Mastering Bitcoin” published by O'Reilly Media and considered the best technical guide. for bitcoins.
And “The Internet of Money”, a book about why bitcoin is important.
and the books he created will have a positive impact on those who read them about the importance and function of bitcoin in life.

This shit thinks that he can get away easily to the poor judgement that he did to resolve Luna UST attack. But still he was being blindly followed by the so called Lunatics and pouring down again million of dollars on the new Luna token without doing a risk management. This only show how still influential this bastard CEO and deserve to be on the list.  Wink

I'm not sure to what extent Elon Musk influenced it, but it's also undeniable that his interest in Dogecoin has made it incredibly volatile. However, based on the list provided by the OP, I believe the people listed above add positive value to the products they create rather than creating hype and pump and dump trends. Another view is that if Elon Musk performs better in this market, then I think in the future he will gain more trust and, in addition to that, create effects.

I'd include more exchange founders rather than just developers.

Bitfinex & Tether folks. They tend to keep a lower profile, so not even sure who is most responsible for their actions.

Mark Karpeles

Billy Markus & Jackson Palmer. Despite not doing a whole lot of anything, they started the dumb altcoin trend which lives on to this day.

The ETH DAO exploiter for forever changing what is acceptable in this space. If you lose money just fork the blockchain!

I wouldn't include some of those altcoin/DeFi developers.
