I believe that the United States has always been one of the most powerful countries in the world. Therefore, there is nothing surprising in the fact that now they have strong troops. This is all the merit of the former presidents.
How is it that the USA developed the worlds most powerful standing Military -Including the Navy & the Airforce ?
Because their country is one of the wealthiest and most powerful in the world. They spend most of their government money by enhancing and developing their military forces and weapons. They have world class scientists that work all day to discover and invent new weapons and have military schools that trains and teaches soldiers on how to fight better in jungle,city or desert.

Usa's military is the most powerful of all .They have the most powerful guns, bombs , war ships etc. On the other hand, I do not think that USA'S army has the most powerful manpower. Soldiers in Usa's army have not any clue about war game.
I think that the USA has the most powerful military as of now. But China is making their military force stronger than ever. Look what they are doing in the south china sea. They build so many building there for their military.

Military power depends on political stability of a country. If his politics are strong, then its military is also strong. america has strong political, then its military is also strong.
Well, after world war 2, the US actually focused on weapons technology and actually funded them to advance the military. After the world war 2, they got all the Nazi scientists and actually used them to research on how to move forward their military might. From then on they waged war to learn from it. Also, not to mention, there alot of unsactioned hits by the government
They did focus on it, but it was since the beginning of WWII (for them). In 1942 Japan had the most powerful navy in the world and the USA couldn't match it, so they turned to plane strikes. They built more aircraft carriers and bombers, flying fortresses and all that stuff. The result of that was they managed to destroy most of the Japanese navy, occupy Japan, and while Europe was in ruins after the war they had a booming industry that was pumping all kinds of military vehicles and ships.

I agree, the strength of the military depends on the government to support it. Because without the government and strong political, military will not be strong.
According to me, the most prestigious military is the United States. This is the country with the most powerful army in the world. American military training is very professional and highly disciplined. They have the most modern weapons. has nuclear warheads and has many airport warships. American military presence around the world to safeguard global peace and security. This is the most prestigious military.
They are simply an economically developed country that does not want other countries to set its conditions. Americans in terms of armed forces, there are no equal in the world.
It should be quite obvious, the biggest single country economy in the world and they utilize a very high percent of their budget to fund military projects. If you are a rich and stable country, it is always politically prudent to spend lots of money on the military - the "heroes". Easy way to secure votes, if you lower it down or take it away, then people will say you are against the military that have wide support.
The problem is, when you have such a large and sophisticated army, you need something for them to do - or it looks like a pointless waste of money. That's why wars like Afghanistan and Iraq happened. Another trickle down negative side affect is the militarization of the police force, through all the unnecessary weaponry left over.

United states of course is the most standard military standing in the world because they invest a huge portion of their budget into the military for research and development.
Well on paper, the US pretty much have the strongest and advanced military force out there. I'm not sure though if that really is the case since there probably are undisclosed military might by eastern countries like russia and china. How the us got really powerful? Very good politics
that is the Russian army. This is the most powerful military in the world. They have a lot of weapons out there. there are carriers, there are nuclear missiles. Russian military is highly disciplined and distributed throughout the world.
USA has most developed war industry and large military to keep it alive. Russia has the most capable army.

Simple, I think that the U.S allocates a nice portion of the country's budget to military affairs. Got to keep the homeplate safe, it's the most important base. That way, you can take the opponent out before they get a chance to steal, and slide home (baseball analogy).

The leader doesn't really play a role because their office is a temporal one. At the moment the USA is the most powerful country in terms of military might alone because of the Nuclear capabilities.
It's a combination of factors:
- as mentioned above, large-scale weapons research in WWII lead to nuclear supremacy and the rise of the military-industrial complex
- many politicians have ties to the military-industrial complex and thus have a vested interested in the use and sale of armaments
- simple economics: the US is a very rich and very large country. It spends a much higher percentage of its already-high GDP on the military.
- geography: the US is very difficult to attack (as it is a huge island), even if someone should want to. So throughout history, the Americans have suffered fewer setbacks and have had more time to build an industrial infrastructure that could later be put to military use.
- advertisement, patriotism, nationalism: many US citizens are very patriotic. They can have a more favorable view towards their own country's interests and protecting these from threats. They may also be more likely to endorse violence as an acceptable solution to a political issue, where other countries might try negotiation.

They spend an inordinate amount of money on their military and their Military industrial complex seems to be big business there. Seems like they waste a lot more than they make, but they want a powerful military so... i guess we will see if it's sustainable long term.
