Yes i agree the most successful i have ever seen is Sapein they collected a maximum total of 19,000 of eth and there's another round of token sale live soon.

I believe there are many successful presale, one of which is FuzeX, they raised the hardcap ($40m) in private/presale and didn't make it into public sale. Also, other examples recently, Helbiz and OnLive raised the hardcap for presale before the end date.

Successful pre-sale of an ICO have a great team and a nice marketing strategy, I saw a lot of ICO having successful PRE-SALE that ends in just an hour or less.
For me UTRUST is had the best PRE-SALE ever.
