Just look what the major exchanges are and then go with the one that has the less complains...

This is a site comparing exchanges, but it does not state how trustworthy an exchange is: http://coincompare.com/

Of course you can assume you can trust the exchange if it has been online for a few years and it has a high volume. That suggests people keep using the exchange and they won't do that if the exchange is stealing coins.

Another idea is to start this kind of site yourself. Maybe you can even make some money with it Smiley

there are many techies here. the site can have one of its one maintain a database of exchangers with updated feedback etc.
but i don't even see a list of wallet providers :/

i've used bitcoin.it for checking on exchange co. it's not perfect but it's just ok

I've been reading under the Scam section about several legit-looking exchanges having some bad reviews in there. Is there a website where you can rate indiividual exchanges, like with 5 stars or 5 coins if they are really good, and trustworthy? I can't find anywhere a good list with concise exchange reviews and ratings, its mostly just long composed complaints about them.

Thanks
