Good morning all -

I originally planned on using only 2 cards so i got the asrock b250m pro4 (decent mobo with 2 full x16 slots for me to put cards into)

However i got a good deal on some more cards and am planning to go with a 5 card setup.

The mobo has 3 pcie slots, and 2 m.2 slots.  It looks like one of the m.2 might drop a sata (who cares), and the other might share with one of the pcie dropping it to gen 2 or gen3 x4?

My plan is to use 2 m.2 to pcie risers and then 5 regular risers from the 2 m.2 adapters and the 3 pcie slots.

Can anyone confirm this will work?

Planning to set tolud to 3.5 or even 2.5 (running ubuntu), and then potentially adjusting pcie to gen 2 across the board.

Hey I have the same motherboard and am stuck with only 3 GPUs. When I use a PCIe expander to add more GPUs the whole system would freeze. Also I get a BIOS A2 error from time to time. Did you figure out how to use more than 3 GPUs on this mobo?
