It's okay didn't have time for bad vibes!! I'm super excited with going back to mining, back in mid 2018 had to quit cause I was out of space to mine and profit had dropped to almost zero so I quit, but left some unsold cards and now I'm very happy to go back to it!! Also needed extra pc for some minor other stuff so that's perfect.

The learning process from how to setup a rig, finding the right components, good deals on cards, to setting all up and actually mining was very difficult and also with a lot of headaches but totally worth it ❤️

I gave you enough merits to boost you up a notch.  just keep posting.

It's working!!! Changed the CPU power cable for another and now working with no issues yoooo LFG!!!!! Lol

I'm sure I'll have some problems when trying to make the 5 GPUs work but I'll handle it. For now I have some super annoying sound in the middle fan of both my 1070 tis (part of the reason I didn't sell them couple years ago) but other than that I think I'll be able to run then smoothly!!! Super excited to mine some, I used to do awesome miner with MPH back in the day, if there are better options in all ears! Let's fucking go!!! lol

Great result sir...and dont worry about the hater above...at some point he had to learn too...shame he doesnt remember what its like.

Hi again!!

I've run into the same issue. changed CPU for G4400 and pc won't start!

If I connect only CPU and fan plus GPU,they start to run their fans automatically when switching on the power unit. But as soon as I connect one more cable (CPU power cable), it won't do anything, and when I try to start CPU it won't connect. What can it be??? What is it the most common issue or something that I might be missing??
You shouldn't be putting the parts together in the first place because you can't even tell the difference because motherboard CPU sockets and the exact CPU that works in a socket, look out for bent pin in the CPU socket, if a single pin is bent there will be problem with powering on

This is a very common trend that is happening now.

Basically there is a CPU shortage and due to this there are lots of motherboards in supply. People buy these motherboards and later on they find out that they can't get a CPU for it. So they buy an older generation and they run into the same issue. They got a fair deal on the motherboard however if they want to use it they gotta overpay for an old outdated CPU.

I had some old motherboards laying around, decided to throw them on Craiglist. People only wanted the CPU, not the motherboard. I told them its sold as a bundle. One guy came, paid full price for the motherboard+cpu but only took the CPU. Now I am stuck with a motherboard that nobody wants to buy because they can't get a CPU for it.
Those who can't figure out which CPU is the right one for a particular motherboard are complete novice, why did they order what they don't understand in the first place? It's easier to avoid this type of mistake by just buying a complete desktop or their are some deals online that comes with motherboard and CPU in one box

I have connected:

2 GPUs with risers plus power. Risers go to slot pcie2 and another black one. Power goes from power unit to the risers, and from power unit to the GPUs.

I have connected SSD, SSD to motherboard and power from power unit to add

I have connected CPU,with its fan connected to motherboard.

I have added keyboard mouse and a DVI connector for screen.

Also ram connected and nothing else. What am I missing or doing wrong? I haven't connected the 4 pin extra power connectors cause I read no need under 3 GPUs,was planning on connecting after being able to run it properly. Not sure what is missing here

This motherboard is a very good one! Use alternate white and black PCI-E 1X connectors from it, I use it with Pentium G4560, rock solid!
Intel LAN chipset offers minimum latency, (much lower latency than Realtek or other shits) and minimum invalid shares from all motherboards that I owned/used.

With 8 cards installed, I never used extra power supply for 2 molex connectors on motherboard, and never had any problems.

I'm going with another CPU, realized it's the best option. I've purchased a used G4500, there's a shortage of 6th/7h gen CPU's!!

Funny cause after 2 years of not using my mining rig and being lazy and not selling components, I finally sold my G4400 for 25€ just 6 months ago lol

I've bought the 4500 for 52€ used, hope it works ^^

As for MOBO non specific for mining, I had my share of them back in the day never again lol

I returned the CPU and hopefully they reimburse but it's not done deal as with amazon so cross fingers with that too...

I really really appreciate your help, you literally have saved me hours of youtube tutorials and not understanding wtf was going on.

Not sure I can return it, I didn't purchase CPU with amazon and it's not really the store's fault... is there a cheap MOBO that can easily handle 2 1070, 2 1070 ti + 1 1060 and compatible with the G5420?

Also, I didn't mention, but the only RAM I have available is a 1x16bg TridentZ that I have left from other package I bought (that I keep as a backup for my office computer) so not sure it was going to be compatible with the 110 pro btc+... wasn't a problem because I would buy the slot if needed, but now that I might have to return the CPU to perhaps end up needing one more slot, maybe better to buy a newer MOBO... advice welcome!

edit: really appreciate the advice, I was getting super frustrated not knowing what the problem was!!

Could just a proc thay works with board.  Chances are it never turned on so probably no damage.  They pretty smart machines.

Here is cheapest ive found:

Or do a board like this

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MT6BVR6?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1

plus a 1-4 splitter to the risers like this...

Get a CPU that works with this board.

Here is the list..and yours is not on it...means its not compatible:

https://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/h110%20pro%20btc+/#CPU

Hopefully you have not damaged the CPU or board....

So I connect to PSU:
MOBO 24 pin
SSD
GPU via PCIe

I connecto to MOBO:
CPU G5420 with fan
PCIe 16x on slot 2
SSD
RAM

And also the jumper on position 1 & 2.

I turn on the PSU and inmediately, CPU fan and GPU fans start to roll.

Now the problem comes with my next action:
I connect CPU power 12V and/or
I connect the 4x pin recommended for more than 3 GPUs

Nothing happens. I hear no sound, no light on the MOBO (I have it from 2018 and not sure if it did light some led, I don't see any). Nothing at all. I press power button and doesn't respond at all. Nothing.

This is an old MOBO, I mined with it on 2018 and it was working correctly. It hasn't been touched since then. CPU is new.

What is it?? I really have no idea
