I wired up a case to my motherboard, since with all the problems I got with my rig, I have to turn it on quite a lot. For the next one, which should better finished, I'll simply use on of these buttons Amph provided me a picture of.

my  Motherboard must have some kind of  safe mode built into it i couldn't  get it to stay on without a power switch which btw to op is a way safer way of turning it on or off . i did in fact try to short it being cheap it powered for 5 seconds then shut down so i bought a 4 dollar switch don't be cheap here it might turn out bad .'

tip: if you have a old case laying around your not using take the switch out of it if it's not hardware wired in, if you don't want to buy a switch.

You could short the two pins with a paperclip and it will power on

that is one method to connect two power supplies. You can also use:

ICO? Not even once.
I just short the legs to start them but I also have "Restore on AC power loss - Power On" setup in the Bios so whenever the computer is plugged in, it will start automatically.

Basically if I switch the PSU on, the PC will start.

The Asrock Pro BTC series mother boards are good. They are H61 and H81 Por BTC. Or the H97 anniversary.

There are no power button on h97 aniversary.

You don't need power button, just short the pins with a screwdriver when it's time to turn on the rig. If all goes well you almost never have to turn it on again, it is always on.

How do I power on motherboards without power buttons? Is there something I can buy to easily start it? What good motherboards are there for mining that can hold 6 GPUs and has a power button?
