Why do you really think that adding the donation date is necessary in the DONATE page?
AFAIK donators are listed there just as recognition for their contribution to the forum. Donation date is secondary information IMHO.

hi Fortify.
1) i'm not asking to Theymos to implement this
2) i know about donators page rules.
3) i think, who the fiat money donated, is relevant IMAHO

Theymos maintains this website, you are asking for a change to the donation page on the website, thus you are asking for Theymos to implement it. This is basic logic that you cannot understand?

Your suggestion was to send a 1 btc donation - this would not qualify you to appear on the donators page with 10 and 50 bitcoin donations. Again, basic logic.

The donations the forum receives is to help with maintenance and hosting. It is not a vanity show to say "I donated $10,000 to bitcointalk, I must be special!!"
I think op just want to know which donation was made on which date to see the different rates of bitcoin on that day.
Anyway even if he meant that donation amount be revised than I think there is some logic in his suggestion.
Spending 50 btc when bitcoin was less than a dollar or even at $500 was different than spending it today.

It is exactly what I wanted to say....
no vanity.

p.s.: I'm not a donor!

Hi all...

i check this page
https://bitcointalk.org/donate.html
few minutes ago, because i'm really curious to see Those Who Gave and sustained, the BTCTalk forum.
I think the page miss a fundamental data:
the data on which the donation was made!
BitCoinTalk exists since 2010.. or maybe before.
and if i donate today 1btc, it is really different, to had donated 1btc in 2010...
so i suggest, to add a culumn, like Donation Date....

that's all!

I'm sure Theymos has better things to work on than adding the donation date for funds that were probably spent a long time ago. If you donate 1 btc, you will not appear on that page anyway - the two donation figures mentioned are 10 btc and 50 btc. The fiat amount is irrelevant to a bitcoin forum as well, so the price has not necessarily changed over time.
