Alright another aspect I need to cover.

I want this to be slightly successful so thus I need to advertise my journey. I can post on motorcycle forums of which I know plenty of so that's marked for success. Also more Bitcoin related, I will post on here as far as my mentions are and for the rest I have no clue tbh anyone have any ideas how to increase exposure a bit ? I could add youtube that's always a good one too but other then that I have no idea of it would be a good or bad idea and how I would get more exposure ?

5. What is the most efficient and best way to document my findings : Blog related posts and if possible Vlog channel
It may not be the most efficient way, but I'd apprecieate a topic here on Bitcointalk.

6. How to spot ATM's or where I can get cash for BTC and so on ... ?
I think this is cheating Tongue
Converting to cash is something you can even do before your trip, I wouldn't count it as using Bitcoins.

If you travel through the Netherlands: at https://www.thuisbezorgd.nl/en/ you can order food online from many different restaurants and pay with Bitcoin.

Cheating ? I will use tools and services linked to bitcoin too. I will try and make it as accessible as possible and thus it shuld be a nice experience to try to maximize myself with BTC use rather then just a creditswipe for instance. As mentioned before if I need cash lets say and there is an ATM why not use it ? THIS IS WHY they have that kind of stuff Tongue

It is difficult to travel with bitcoin, not really in every country bitcoin. But you need to get a bitcoin card for this. In short the idea is very nice, but bitcoin is hard to use anywhere.

Awesome idea!

Where are you starting from? You could tweet all the locations you find who accept BTC / Alts, would awesome to map your journey.

If your coming through the UK in April (7th & 8th), We have a cryptocurrency event on in Manchester - we will happily provide some BTC sponsored food/refreshments

That sounds interesting and could lead to a journal called "bitcoin on motorcycle diaries". Haha. Although it is a good idea, I am not sure it is applicable in other parts of the world where acceptance of bitcoin is relatively minimal and the only currency that's accepted is the local one or the dollar.

Your idea sounds cool. But I suggest that you should carry money along with you. It is hard to rely on bitcoin while travelling around Europe since there are only few locations that accepts bitcoin and bitcoin atms are only very few and its hard to locate. But try going around the Philippines by just downloading an app called coins.ph you can travel the Philippines since you can cashout your bitcoins in exchange for the local currency all around the country.

Right now such services were never found worldwide, it might be available in only very few countries around the world. So, its us to make the effort and find during the time of travelling. It would help someone else in the future when you express your experience to the other users who are part of the growing community.

Sounds interesting.
You can transaction with your bitcoin perfectly while traveling at least you're traveling in some place like singapore since there are soo many merchants out there are accept bitcoin as payment method. There comes a time when you must deal with an unexpected situation when you can't find any stores that accept bitcoin as payment method  ( i hope in europe there are more bitcoin's merchants out there) or confirmation got stucked ( i'm writing this while my transaction got stucked almost 10 hours, just saying )
I think you might create vlog for this,if you don't mind i'll absolutely watch it.

I will try and set it all up and then also do it yeah ! A vlog I don't know but videos will be part of it I assume.

5. What is the most efficient and best way to document my findings ? Im not super tech savvy and cannot set up my own website so an easy to use blog with wordpress is recommended or rather something that works better ?

if you can use blog to publish your trip, it is okay. but I think video is more interesting than photos or writing. what if you create a youtube channel about your trip? you can capture a video on your trip. but I am sorry I cannot guide you to do such thing because I have another business.

Seems to be no problem if traveling in the area of European countries because of visa used throughout the zone are allowed and there is no problem at all. I heard many stories about Bitcoin used by foreign tourists. They can be a lot of convenience of hotel accommodation, restaurants, mobile, even souvenirs they are looking from coinmap org.

The most important thing wherever you go, stay connected to the internet. To document the activity doesn't have to go through the blog and website. Please documented only through live video to facebook and youtube for every activity that you want to share. I am sure you will be the center of attention.

Actually I really want this activity, but not much time for a holiday, I hope you get an incredible experience enjoyable.

Your idea to teavel by only using btc sounds complicated. There are not enough places around Europe where you can use bitcoins. Mostly places where you can spend bitcoins are capitals and biggest cities. Especially it depends on which parts of Europe you want visit. It will be very hard to find hotels, shops, fuel stations which accepts bitcoin. I think only way how to travel only with btc is to get bitcoin debit card, it's accepted in mostly places. But yes, it's not the same like to pay direct with btc.

For hotel & accommodation, cheapair.com have good credibility.

Even in europe you may get difficulty on finding bitcoin accepted stores so most preferable choice for you could be getting one bitcoin debit card (visa/mastercard) which can be funded with bitcoin and also you have to get those card verified so you will not be blocked in middle of your tour.

I am very interested in something: Travel on my motorbike and actually use bitcoin and tools to get around. I want to try this out this year somewhere around May - June.

So my plan is to travel around for a couple of weeks in Europe for this year and want to prepare myself to do this fully BTC loaded. I think it would be amazing and show many people that there are multiple uses for BTC and also that this actually can work with all services and tools out there as we speak.

Now my question is how to get started ?

[ UPDATE 13/01/17 ]

1. What are some of the must have services while travelling abroad:

- VISA and debitcard: any suggestions Huh?

What other ways are international to use ?

2. I need to find BTC accepted spaces: coinmap.org

3. Accomodations : Cheapair.com

4. Provider for my phone for the upcoming event. So far I have mobile Viking but internationally I haven't yet got any knowledge about it as provider changes. Are there any providers who offer international coverage for travelers ?

I think that foods and drinks is pretty do-able. There are many places atleast in the Netherlands that allow BTC. I will try to pass through these spots while travelling obviously to maximize my BTC spendings.

5. What is the most efficient and best way to document my findings : Blog related posts and if possible Vlog channel

I also want to have this case study in which we show the REAL use of bitcoins and thus I need a valid and clear management and structured way to do this well.

6. How to spot ATM's or where I can get cash for BTC and so on ... ?

7. Internet/cellphone international. Any idea what is a good reference for cellphone or data use internationally and they accept BTC. I know of Mobile Viking which is my provider they allow to pay with BTC but is only for Belgium usage as far as I recon.

Any pro tips are welcome thanks guys !!
I will post a journey topic on this forum once I figure out the basics and actually start planning everything ! So keep an eye out on my posts Smiley
