So let's get started, this is what i watched yesterday
Parasite (2019)'All unemployed, Ki-taek's family takes peculiar interest in the wealthy and glamorous Parks for their livelihood until they get entangled in an unexpected incident.'Latest Joon Ho Bong movie where he again tackles society and the modern issues. This time again, like in excellent Snowpiercer (2013) he deals with classes and inequality , but this team story is set in modern South Korea. Here we have combination of genres, atmosphere in the movies changes as the time passes, but there is strong satire throughout the movie and bunch of metaphors and this combination works surprisingly well.At the moments it can get a bit over dramatic, but that is standard thing for South Korean movies really so i didn't mind it at all.All in all it is quality movie that is worth watching, but still his best movie to date stays Memories of Murder (2003), modern masterpiece.
Once again Joon Ho Bong proves to be among the best South Korean directors, with Chan-wook Park and Ki-duk Kim.
On a side note, for this he won Palme d'Or at Cannes ahead of Quentin Tarantino and his Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood (2019) and most likely will be Oscar nominated for best non English speaking movie.
