Go on imdb site, open top 250, download them and start watching

IMDB is vulnerable to bogus voting and Cabal voting. So I wouldn't prefer that site.

http://www.imdb.com/chart/top

For example, I wouldn't rate The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in the top 100.
I get your Point that IMDB is not the best parameter to judge a movie But I totally disagree on TLOTR:TROTK don't get a place on top 100 as all the movies of LOTR trilogy was just Brilliant on everything. Yeah you can say the return of the kings was lil dull compared to other two but it surely deserves a place up there.

I admit there is some movies that doesn't deserve to be on that list, but also there is some good so pick up by genre what you like and enjoy

I'll recommend three Russian language movies for you.

1. 9th Company (2005): About the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. One of the best Russian language war movies produced so far.
2. Leviathan (2014): About a family-man's fight to save his home from the corrupt government officials.
3. The Return (2003): A very very dark movie. I am not elaborating the plot.

I cannot understand Russian language. Does it have subtitle?

The DVDs have subtitles in English, French and German languages. If you are downloading through torrent, then let me know. I will send you the subtitle files (*.srt) through mail.

I like Usual Suspects. It was good when It first came out, cos the ending was unexpected. It is not so good when you watch it now since the ending is rather well known, but still very enjoyable.

Contact with Jodi Foster.

Still one of my fav movies of all time and probably the best opening of any movie.

There is something about that movie that gets in your head. Some deep profound truth that you can never quite articulate.
