Copy the %Appdata% bitcoin folder from windows to your .bitcoin linux folder.

Yes this would have saved you bandwidth and time as it only uses your local network.

I ended up just re-downloading the blockchain, ugh.

But thanks for the response, I hadn't thought of that idea!

I'm not sure which files need to be moved, but you could run both on the same network and let them sync against each other.  On the new PC add -connect=[ip of old pc] to the command-line/config and run both until the new PC is synced up.   The -connect tells it to only connect to your old pc.  Once it is done you can remove the -connect parameter. Then remove bitcoin from the old pc.  Backing up and copy your your wallets of course.

I'm trying to move my Bitcoinqt wallet from my windows computer to my Linux machine. I really don't want to go through the hassle of redownloading the blockchain. I thought I'd just transfer the files between computers. I've been playing around with it but so far no luck.

Does anyone know exactly which files need to be moved?
