hi, not really you need to compile the client as normal then wait for it to sync. and put the rpc details from the config in MPOS and stratum aswell as the wallet address
Thanks for the response. I am setting up a private pool for use by my computers, not for the public, why I don't feel there is anything wrong with me wanting to do this. I have server farms and just feel that having a pool setup for myself to use privately (too many DDOS Attacks against public pools) would be best.
So I skip everything in between setting up the Test Net and pick back up at the end of Configuration to get the account address?
If I want to use Stratum/Scrypt I feel like there is still some of that skipped section that I am going to need.

all i can say if u cant figure out how to adapt it then move on, a pool setup isnt for u. i can assure u running a pool is much harder than the setup.
if u still wish to proceed then its pretty simple, skip the testnet stuff and just run getaccountaddress to get the wallet address and use the rpcusername/password/port/url for mpos and stratum

I am trying to setup a Mining Pool for some altcoins on my Virtual Servers since I have computers all over the place. The Getting Started instructions are perfect for Litecoin but there is some confusion for Alt Coins.

Once it reaches setting up the "Test Network" and installing Stratum/Scrypt, it all seems much too specific to Litecoin.
Can anyone should some light on what needs to be done to adapt this to various Scrypt based Altcoins?
