Mr Robot is probably the best TV Show on this subject.
First, the IT scenes are very realistic when you compare to your typical genius hacker from a random TV show.
Moreover, the topics raised from the show are very interesting (one of them being decentralisation)

Getting the same front also " The uploader has not made this video available in your country " , like what??? I cannot think of any reason why would someone upload a video that restricts a country. I don't think the nationality or the religion would be in trouble here. It's unnecessary to ask where are you from OP right? but you said we could use a VPN but then which country are we going to use? I'm really curious about it, though I've seen several TV shows and movies that has a screen time tackling about crypto, but most of them are pure negative for crypto community.

I'll admit my stupidity, is it really all about the up-loader most of the time? I thought that it mainly came down to the country that you're trying to view the clip from.  I have never kept where I'm from hidden before, say's it in my user name - Chicago, so the United States.  A VPN from the US would work then, obviously.  Still that's fd why any person would give a shit.

Oh well, let me join the crowd:

The uploader has not made this video available in your country.

Funny thing is, i watched this whole thing when it was getting released. It gave me a Fight Club vibe and the makers admitted to being influenced by it.
What i though about Ecoin from Evil Corp (Which apparently is a hint to Enron/Microsoft, etc) is that its more or less Ripple. Libra wasn't in the radar.

Interestingly they predict the fall of USD, today more than ever this reality seems to be approaching.

As for youtube, well its google. The google of old, had a motto of doing not evil, but they removed that years ago, i guess they too are Ecorp, with all their data mining and absolute surveillance etc.

The horror of watching whatever that video content is about, i can bet its about some idiotic ad of a product obviously not available in my country. Not like the net cares, if it refers to the show itself...

Just finished watching this show! Absolutely loved it! Loved how they incorporated so much tech stuff in the show. Man this show really gave me the feels! Lol, would highly recommend it.

IIRC it's not Bitcoin, but alternative cryptocurrency which created by government/corporate and many people fell to it & it sends correct message that cryptocurrency != decentralization.

You're talking about the show's fictional Ecoin, but Bitcoin was mentioned too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHOAKWzDH-Q&t=77

It's the evil and untrustworthy character that says that Bitcoin is partially controlled by China, but I don't remember any other character defending Bitcoin or portraying it in good light (other mentions of Bitcoin included a darknet market full of very illegal stuff), so I feel that the viewers of the show who are unfamiliar with Bitcoin did get a negative impression about it.

Nothing lasts forever
Same here guys, the content is not visible for me too. For once I thought using TOR browser would suffice the need and I did try it but in vain.
I have already watched all the episodes of Mr.Robot and it has been my favourite series till date.
I just love the way Elliot does all the tech stuff. It's almost as real as it should be.

But I wonder why Youtube is blocking this content. I guess Youtube has been against crypto all this while and that's why it's restricting it in some countries.

I didn't like this show and dropped it during season 2 or 3, but if I remember correctly, it on multiple occasions stated that Bitcoin is controlled by China or the White Rose or whatever. If it's indeed like that, than the show is really sending the wrong message about Bitcoin by contributing to this annoying misconception that Bitcoin is centralized or even theoretically can be controlled by a single entity.

I found a pretty interesting clip of Michael Cristofer ( Phillip Price on the show ) talking about currency and mentioning bitcoin.  Starts at 1:37  -->https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk_AUW1E_N8&feature=youtu.be

If you haven't seen Mr Robot, trust me, do so! One of my all time favorite shows.  The first few seasons have quite a few cryptocurrency mentions, especially Bitcoin and the big bank ran ECoin ( think Libra ).  Just thought I'd share.
I've watched the whole show only a few months ago, and I also loved it. I was surprised to see how much of the plot was dedicated to cryptos, and some mentions were made years ago when it wasn't even such a popular thing. What I don't like is that China adopted Bitcoin there, but it doesn't make much sense to me. For one, China has a huge population and there's no explanation how the network could handle so many transactions. It seems more natural to me that if the world moved to cryptos, it's China that would definitely adopt a fully centralized cryptocurrency. As for the video, though, I also cannot see it because of my geolocation...

I don't know why the channel limits its viewers, I got this screen message

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country."

Anyway, any publicity of bitcoin/crypto is good thing especially if the content gives more comprehensible information, knowledge regarding finance and security.

I am from the Philippines and this video is also not available in my country. Maybe the channel owner thinks that my country is not suitable to view his content? Or is it YouTube doing its censorship? At any rate, I am looking forward to explore ideas, tips and opinions that can be affecting the movement of Bitcoin in particular and cryptocurrency in general.

I guess this video has the same content to the one Chi is posting in the OP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj8T3R3ECFw.

Michael Cristofer, who is playing the role of Phillip Price, the CEO of E Corp, has been interviewed in this short clip.

Let me transcribe what Michael says in 1:48- 1:59 of the 2:45-minute short video:

"I think we take for granted a piece of paper that says a dollar on it. We just got used to it, but it's not a lot more meaningful than something called Bitcoin..."

Why is that limited if it is available to all everyone can watch and and know about bitcoin
I really don't understand why Mr. Robot has not shown to all. 7.8k views,  212 likes.

If it is so good about bitcoin, cryptocurrency share with almost all.

I watched the first episode of Mr Robot and took my notice of BTC mention. Unfortunately, I wasn't in the crypto-market yet. I think more work should be done to take cryptos higher. It still is difficult to build a big business based on cryptos.

Back to Mr Robot, blockchain is secure from the attack made on monetary system at the show, right?

Yeah there is no point in the show where bitcoin or the blockchain are under any certain attack / get hacked. [...]

Well, no technical attack.

E-Corp does create its own currency, so arguably this could be seen as an attack on crypto -- not unlike the attempt at private corporate currencies we've been seing in the real world.

The attack on the monetary system in Mr Robot is completely unrelated though (at least if I recall correctly) and no scenario that would apply to Bitcoin. It is a scenario where Bitcoin could come in handy though.

Yeah there is no point in the show where bitcoin or the blockchain are under any certain attack / get hacked. I don't want to give away anything, but if you watch until the very end, cryptocurrency is used in a big way.  I personally don't worry about the blockchain being hacked until quantum computing comes but even then, they will be able to update the software to prevent this from happening ( IMHO anyhow ).

This crap drives me insane, thanks for pointing that out guys. I guess the only thing you can really do is use a VPN so that your IP wont be pinged and blocked.  Such total horseshit. There is no reason for countries to block content like this.

Same with me, i'm from ina and the video not available in my country. Why should it be limited? I don't know who is Mr Robot But as long as the video isn't manipulated I will continue to support. Education about Crypto is very necessary. Many developing countries do not know about cryptocurency. With educational records carried out in accordance with reality not manipulation. I think YouTube videos can be a good medium for all people in the world.
