We utilise the ENS (Ethereum Name System) with our own name which will be important for our soon to be released project. What is interesting is that as with DNS names (www), the ENS also allows you to have sub domain names. So for example, for our name, p2pdotbet.eth, we can also have:

football.p2pdotbet.eth
tennis.p2pdotbet.eth
priceprediction.p2pdotbet.eth

or, we could also allow our users to have their own names such as:

aarav.p2pdotbet.eth
ahmed.p2pdotbet.eth
mohammed.p2pdotbet.eth

These names will undoubtedly become very important in future especially for Web 3.0 and anyone who doesnt get the best name early, such as the ones being offered here, will probably have to settle for poor names. In the same way as early adopters of hotmail were able to get [email protected], when all the best names are gone, they will have to take something like [email protected] which is not as good at all. That's how I see it anyway.

Certainly. It works in a similar way to transferring ownership of a regular www domain name. I could transfer ownership of a www domain name and I would not be able to find out the password (private key / seed phrase) of your hosting company.

So, as you can see, all that is needed is for me to have the wallet address of the purchaser and I send the name to them.

Of course, regarding the the purchase itself, some may feel that I would take the Eth for the name and then run away without sending the name to them. This of course, is not going to happen. I would happily provide my personal details via legal identification but that is not neccessary. The purchase of the name can be done through two websites at present. In both cases, the names are held in escrow until the purchase is complete.

Please explain how this is done and how you can assure the buyer that their private keys are safe and not exposed to anyone except them. That will be great starting point and will probably get you more sales also.

i in no way get hold of a users private keys. if someone wanted a name, then i transfer full ownership of the name to their wallet. i only ever know the wallet address that I have to transfer ownership to, that is all, and theres no way i can find out private keys or seed phrase at all, ever.

Anyone with an Eth Wallet like metamask or ledger can make it themselves from https://www.myetherwallet.com/#ens . I am not against you offering a service, but only that it is not safe (for buyer) to trust his private keys with you.
