got these boards to work! One is running  5 x 6870 with 850w PS, one has 5 x 5850 on 850w PS, look good no problems running for 24 hours straight so far. Might even buy another board, just picked up a FM1 3600 Quad core for 25 dollars, arrived and box not even opened! LOL love fleabay sometimes. No problems with bamt or *nix in general, like some other boards, 890FXA series. Not a complaint about the 890FXA, just a little picky about how it wants the OS loaded. If anyone grabs any of these and have problems, hollar and I will try to help.

Ok burnt up so boards a week or so ago and decided to buy some new boards, so I purchased the MSI A75A-G35, with a FM1 cpu, and guess what it has a video on chip. Anyone know how to disable this feature. Got 6870 running and they are seen by BAMT, but when I go to start mining, nothing happens. the on-board video is 6530D. the on-board seems to be causing a problem. Anyone have this board and got a work around?

I had problem with an ASUS board, I had to load BAMT with display set to one of the GPU's not onboard

my CPU intel though, gpu built into motherboard, what you're trying is probably even harder to do yet

it was causing a problem with the 6870, but yes their is an option in bios, just gotta look for it. And tes the 6530D will do about 225 - 230 mhs, but again causes problems. gonna work on this to see if I can get them all to work together.

EDIT:  would be nice to have 5 x 6870 and 1 x 6530 running on one board and only using 850w!

I have 5 5850 and 1 5870 on 1 board, it uses 755 watts A/C. /epeen

If you're getting 225 Mh/s then it's mining off the 6870.  The APU (6530D) gets about 41 Mh/s depending on how it's configured.

Fresh install of bamt, usb bootable, stick in usb drive load up is fine. EVERYTHING is seen by BAMT. Go to config file for bamt, just what is needed for proper working environment for the 6870 (950/850/stock volt) = 295  - 300 mhs. Run fixer (update all)

Start mining

 ".... starting mining .. munin.."

then window closes and nothing starts. use ssh to log into box to see gpumon and gpumon does not even seen anything, also something I noticed Iceweasel/web dashboard doesnt see the gpu either, might be unrelated. As far as using cgminer, I tried using cgminer to just start mining, but it only saw the gpu on the cpu, which it gets about 225 mhs FYI. did not see any of the 6870, but then again I could be missing something, I am still learning and this part of the CURVE is getting steep. Usually use bamt to mine with so I might be missing something in cgminer to make it see all the gpu's.

could be a bamt problem, did you try cgminer?

FM1 is AMD's APU (CPU with a GPU built in) socket. The FM1 motherbaord does not have a video card, but the CPU does (an AMD 6530D).

Some of those APU motherboard have an option to disable the built in GPU on the die. Check your BIOS settings.

However, what's stopping you from mining on the 6530D? It should be about an extra 100MH/s.

the FM1 has the video onboard, not the motherboard. It sees all the gpus but when i start bamt, it gets to the "munin ..."  then stops. any ideas and to see what is going on, mother says everything is fine.

What's an FM1?  You implied it was a processor.

You should be able to tell your miner to not use the onboard video.  That way you could have your monitor using it and not impacting your mining.
