You can verify if your 3060 is the 1st generation (ie. non-LHR) or 2nd-generation (LHR) by looking at the PCI Device Id value, if it says "2503" it's a 1st-generation/non-LHR 3060, if it says "2504" it's a 2nd-generation/LHR 3060.

To check, on a Linux OS use the following command:

          nvidia-smi -i 1 -q

(Replace the number "1" in the above command with the GPU number is your system, ie. "0" for first card, "1" for second card, etc).

In the command output look for a line like the following under the PCI section:

          Device Id                         : 0x250310DE

In the above output it shows "2503" which means that 3060 is a 1st-generation/non-LHR and thus will do ~50mhs under Windows with the 470.05 drivers as others have already mentioned in previous posts.

On Windows, use GPU-Z, and look for the Device ID value. In the following image you can see the Device ID value shows a "2503", again indicating that this is a 1st-generation/non-LHR 3060:

So while 3060s are not advertised as lhr, in the same sense as the 3070ti and 3080ti aren’t, they are indeed all eth limited. There’s 2 versions of 3060, v1 which would be any made before mid may 2021, and v2 which are the ones made after. V2 3060s have the same eth limiting that the advertised lhr cards have, same as the 3070ti and 3080ti. V1 have a different limiter, that can be bypassed only on windows with the 470.05 dev driver, and only if you have all the requirement met or exceeded (pcie gen 3, x8 pcie lanes and display adapter connected/dummy hdmi) and only then will it be unlocked to 48-50mh.

You can sometimes trick the card into not limiting on Linux with the 460.39 driver, effectively crashing it by running too aggressive ocs, or physically holding the fans until the driver crashes. This is called the 3060 fan glitch, in my experience it’s not super reliable.

Basically the tldr is your cards are still limited and you should run a lhr unlocking miner if you plan on using Linux to mine. You’ll get 37-40mh that way.

Bro all you need is that Nvidia driver 470.05 that some are suggesting if things remains the same after this then you have LHR cards probably mixed with non LHR GPUs, you can easily get straight answer if you use hive OS instead

If you don't mind me asking how did you know that the GPUs aren't LHR version? Also I used this GPU 3060s for mining ETH with Trex miner, the stock hashrate was 25MH and after changing driver to 470.05 beta driver the hashrate doubled, do this and drop your result
Thank you very much for your reply and your time.
I'm sure my GPUs are not lhr because it doesn't say it anywhere, neither on the box nor on the website where I bought them.
I am attaching here the direct link to the website where I bought them so you can check for yourself.

This thing about changing the driver doubling the hashrate I've already found on other forums, but I wouldn't know how to update the driver without having windows installed. I currently have SimpleMining installed on the Rig.
The thing I could do is move the cards to a desktop computer of mine that I use for gaming, change the drivers and put it back in the rig, but I'm not sure if that would work.
Thank you very much

First off You continued to followup so I gave your first merit.

I read your link and it does say the that some 3060 are lhr.

the gaming trio mentions lhr. in the link.

so I am going to do a reach and say there is a huge chance you have lhr cards.

simplemining has a few miners that do lhr try it.

load the two or three and see if it works.

Ok thank you very much for the answer, the cards are connected on a x16 port, directly on the motherboard (AsRock BTC+ H510), do you say that's not good ?
Then another question, to update the drivers to version 470.05, is it ok if I take one card at a time, put them on a computer with windows, load the driver and put it back in the rig with another operating system? (SimpleMiningOS)
One card is connected to a monitor, but the other 3 are not. But the hashrate is the same.

So, we can exclude PCI-e speed and monitor plug

Drivers are installed on your OS, not on the card, maybe you're confusing with bios, but you need to install drivers on your operational system

Try windows, you probably have windows installed on your PC, and if you can install 470.05 drivers, you'll find the solution

Hello everyone, I would like to say that I am not a mining expert and that I do not speak good English.
Today I received 4 GPU 3060, (see model in the title).
When I mounted them on my rig, I saw that they give me about 23-25MH/s in overclock and 20MH/s in stock, when I saw that they should go at least 50MH/s, if not more.
I currently use SimpleMining as my OS and Phoemix as my miner.
Overclock settings: core -200; memory 1400; power 120.
I saw searching online that it could be a driver issue, but I have no idea how to install them without having winows or linux.
Thanks a lot in advance for your time and happy new year!

I understand that your video cards are not LHR, but they require certain actions to increase the hash rate on the Ethash and Ethash4G algorithm:
Windows, PCI-e x8 (for each card) and nvidia driver 470.05

I think 3060s are the most problematic series in this generation Cheesy

If your cards are not LHR, there 3 things to look:

1 - Drivers
2 - PCI-e 8x
3 - Monitor plug

1 - As Williamm07 said, try driver 470.05

2 - Try to connect one card directly to motherboard, some people related 3060s didn't work well with less than PCI-e 8x speed

3 - Try to connect cards in a monitor, or a dummy plug, maybe the card needs to be connected to achieve maximum hashrate

Phoenix miner doesn’t have any lhr unlocking features. off the top of my head, T-Rex, gminer, nbminer and lolminer all do, try one of those.
