Hey guys,
I'm new to mining and I just built a mining/gaming rig.
I have 4 MSI RX 580 TWIN FROZER gaming x 8gb in the rig.
I have just started mining Ethereum with the latest Ethminer, so far I'm only getting 17mh/s from each card and a total of around 68mh/s  Cry
I am running win 10 64bit with standard AMD Radeon adrenaline drivers.
Any help you guys can give me to increase my hash and best mining tools to help this Noob would be great?

Thanks people's.

Hi Stevross, I have no experience with that model, however I'm sure at this point that you have 2 things to sort out:

1) Proper windows drivers:

1.1) The first thing that you want to do, is to fully uninstall the drivers you have installed, for that, go ahead and download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) from it's official website https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
1.2) Restart your windows in safe mode before doing it (it will ask you for that), and you'll have to follow a few steps to get that done, it isn't as simple as pressing F8 anymore.
1.3) Once in safemode, use DDU to fully remove the drivers that you have installed.
1.4) Download "Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Workloads-Aug23" drivers from the official website from http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-[Suspicious link removed]pute-Release-Notes.aspx
1.5) Install those drivers and then restart if required, customize the instalation, and select only the drivers, you don't want Radeon ReLive or anything else than the drivers.
1.6) Download and install the clock patcher from this website https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher
1.7) By then your cards should be detected and working a bit better already.

2) Proper BIOS modding and overclocking, for this step you'll have to experiment a bit with MSI Afterburner, and then the bios... please update me once you get there!

Have a good day,
Chris C. Russo
I agree.

The item 2 its very important, because only the drivers will not be suficient for you to get the best speed of your cards, when you do BIOS mod you are be able to increase the mining performance using less power.

I recommend use claymore to mine, because you will be able to put different config for each gpu, as they are not equal at all....

Claymore V10.3: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-dual-ethereum-amdnvidia-gpu-miner-v150-windowslinux-1433925
Thanks for the advice. I will be trying to research bios modding, as for claymore I don't know if I should troubleshoot my GPUs further before jumping to a miner change.

Thanks Mate, I jumped up to 86 mh/s after driver change so that did help, but it also increased the power from 720w to 800w.
I played around with afterburner already but every time I increased the memory clock the hash rate went down for some reason.  I need to find the exact settings for my card and look into doing a bios mod I think, I just hope it does not kill the gaming.
Thanks spot for your help!  Smiley

Or save the whole hassle and install a Ethos (http://ethosdistro.com/download/) or Simplemining (https://simplemining.net). Your performance will be better from the go.

Not into Linux for this build mate as it is also a gaming rig.
