MtGox scam status is being ignored by the BTC community for 3 facts:

1: Everyone thinks this is just a USD withdraw issue. It is not.

2: MtGox is a huge, long running exchange and is still operable.

3: The reports of 'scams' goes far back in time.

I believe they are a pyramid scheme. They cant pay customer A without freezing customer B and C's funds.

It's easy for everyone to deposit money into Mt Gox. But not that easy for you to get your money back.

Now I can't withdraw any dollar or BTC from my account. It says my account need verification. But almost one month past since I made the request, they reply nothing.

I heard from so many people who have a same situation, their verification requests are rejected after a month or longer.

If they are preventing money-laundering, they should ask for verification before deposition, not after that. And even though they are 100% sure that one is doing  money-laundering, they should give his/her money back where it came from, not to frozen it forever.
