Even if coins come back, if the truth is not out then Bitcoin will feel a bit like the central authority black box banks we have now. Crack the box.

I hope we get closure, but there is a real chance we might never know the whole truth.

Yes I accept you that Gox is old story, now Gox is not counted in btc market anymore.
But People who lost money from Gox must get some solution which will bring them back to Bitcoin which is good for Bitcoin community and Bitcoin future too.

If the private keys are not lost, then all the BTC could possibly be recovered.
The courts will take "forever"...
Not knowing the truth will take "forever".
No closure will keep some of those people here waiting/hoping, others will leave, and some will want to come back soon.

MtGox Co., Ltd., the Tokyo District Court issued on February 28, 2014 an examination order and
appointed attorney-at-law Nobuaki Kobayashi as examiner.

We hereby announce that the Tokyo District Court issued today an order extending to May 9, 2014
the deadline for the examiner to submit the results of its examination."
