I finally took the time to verify my identity and select a repayment method.  I chose crypto and an early lump sum repayment.  I may still switch it to the other later payout, but we'll see.  I'd hate to think I'm leaving BTC on the table and I have no need for it anytime soon, but I don't like the idea of letting them delay this any further even though it is probably the smart thing to do.  Anyone have a strong opinion either way?

can you share the link where the verification is done for the payment of funds from mt.gox?
I somehow always ignored it because I don't believe that anything positive will happen there, but you are right about that feeling of leaving BTC on the table.
thx.

Mtgox.com is a good place to start. I think it redirects you to claims.mtgox.com but this is me on my mobile assuming that. Following the steps and not getting links from strangers is probably good advice.

Not sure why anyone would ignore the mtgox situation if they had funds there, but to each their own. Something will definitely happen with this, and likely before next summer.

Thank you, Gallar, for constructive and supportive comment!  I got verified!

Nice.  I'm glad you got it taken care of.  It would be a shame to have problems this far down the line when payouts are seemingly just around the corner.

Usually this happens as a result of going against the rules or regulations.
or maybe the data you entered does not match your personal data.

but you don't worry usually in a few days it will be back to normal.
because it is temporary and will not be permanent.

I want my Bitcoin back from mtgox. I cannot sign into my wallet due to a problem. How can I import my wallet from the bitcoin core to new computer. My old computer crashed. Is is possible to create my private key with CMac or any other programme? I have lost 165,000 btc which I bought in 2010, 2011 and 2012. All my money I invested mtgox. Please me to import my wallet?

After I tried the Identity Verification multiple times, I got blocked. Now, when I open the verification link, I see the message, "You are temporarily blocked from ekyc due to multiple verification within short period of time." The screenshot: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmuCqe6gZspyhB2mbcxBr_k2FSkm?e=PJMCks It has been over 24 hours since my last attempt at the Verification. The situation extremely stresses me out.  Please, help.

1. What does "temporarily blocked" mean? When will the block be lifted? I am concerned the block might be permanent.

2. Is there a way to reach MTGOX Claim administration to explain my situation?  I submitted the Inquiry on the FAQ page and got the "Inquiry Received" auto response with the not-reassuring disclaimer "However, please note that the Support Center receives a large number of inquiries recently, and responses or replies to your inquiry may not be timely."

Any help would be appreciated.  It looks like I will not be able to receive my claim repayment.

i find it funny people have waited 8 years for mtgox returns and then get upset when they have to wait 24hours-week

stay calm be patient is best advice. before trying again try to work out what may be the possible reasons the KYC didnt recognise you in your first tries.
did you years ago spell your name with a capital letter and this time lower case. have you moved address or using new contact info to your initial records years ago during the administration process

I am not upset because I have to wait. There is January 10 deadline to select the Repayment Method. "Temporary" might be a stock interface message while the system might have blocked permanently. Usually, interface provides specific time frame.

I have ideas why KYC did not work:
1. On the first try, I used a temporary Real ID which was printed on paper. The system warned not to use copies and must have recognized my temporary ID as such.
2. On the second and third try, I must have failed face recognition - my expired Driver License was issued 6 years ago, expired passport 20 years ago. The fact that both documents were expired could be a problem also.

Last night, I received a permanent Real ID which will be used if I ever get past "You have been blocked".

MTGOX prefers passport which I applied for yesterday and paid extra for expedited processing and Priority shipping.

1. it clearly says temporary, not permanently so dont worry about permanently
(unless you continually try to exceed attempts like a brute forcer)

2. support systems are not "reply within an hour".. be patient it may be 72 hours or a week.

dont just think you can just brute force multiple variations until you get it right. instead think clearly about how you presented yourself years ago and be consistent to that and minimise your attempts. especially dont just bash the keyboard every 30 seconds with new attempts.. give it time between attempts

It looks like you (or possibly somebody else) have tried to verify your identity multiple times and have failed each time. It says "temporarily", so it seems that you will be able to try again after some period of time.

I suggest that you figure out why you have failed multiple times before trying again.
