Gox states that you can trade against your currency of choice, I didn't know that you could have multiple currencies on the same account and the reason was legal though they suggest it.

Arbitrage from different Gox accounts. Thought about that last year but actually I thought Gox would be considered operating as a financial operator if they allowed that, even though their TOS suggests that you can have multiple currency accounts.

The argument would be that Bitcoin is only an intermediate exchange medium and you in reality are trading USD <-> GBP <-> EUR or whatever.

why arbitrate in two accounts??? to fake the last trades on history sheet??

I saw one deposit take 7+ confirmations the other day before they posted it

they'll probably catch up soon

ANY PROBLEMS WITH WITHDRAWLS??

My withdrawals are disabled due to AML Verification process (pending review)... Angry
I am managing my family's accounts from one IP and they "catch me"... lol
Now I can't profit from Arbitrage but my accounts are still accessible and working.

wait wait, tell me what happened and why? managing 4 gox accounts with one PC? that's what they found suspicious

00:57.17 ( @MagicalTux ) there's some lag on incoming txs but it's getting better
00:58.38 ( @MagicalTux ) 26628 operations pending processing
...
01:08.40 ( @MagicalTux ) there was an exception with an overly strange transaction in the blockchain
01:08.54 ( @MagicalTux ) if our system sees anything out of the ordinary, it halts talking with the bitcoin network
01:09.15 ( @MagicalTux ) and sends an alert to the operators

Also smpake.com still has some coins in it.

Got the same stock reply. There is obviously a problem here with Bitcoin deposits at MTGox

What pisses me off is that they start talking bull#@it, like it depends on network speed and yadayada, when it clearly is an outage. Why not just say honestly "we have a problem". As if we are stupid and not figure this out by ourselves

Thank you for your email and for providing the details and I will have that checked and I will keep you updated on the status.

Please be aware that:

When withdrawing or depositing bitcoins into your Mt.Gox account there may occasionally be a delay (1~24 hours) depending on network congestion, your internet connection speed on the network. If you're sending to your computer's wallet, it's good practice to keep your bitcoin client running so it can download the block chain. For those that may not know the block chain is the complete history of all transactions made on the bitcoin network, and as such it can take some time to update and download the most current block and see the bitcoins in your wallet.

If you aren't seeing the funds after either withdrawing/sending to Mt. Gox from your bitcoin program, please wait 24 hours before contacting us. If your transfer has still not occurred within 48 hours, please lodge a support request so we may begin the process of tracking your bitcoins and reinitiating the transfer.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact Mt.Gox Support by responding to this email (should the enquiry relate to this ticket).

Thanks,

MtGox.com Team

Which I guess is their version of "please stay on the line, your call is VERY IMPORTANT TO US"
