I can understand them not commenting on the legal issues themselves.  What's especially concerning is that they've made no comment at all regarding how those accounts being seized will affect their customers.  We have no idea how much was in those accounts and whether MtGox has enough reserves to return customer balances without access to those accounts.

The better people to ring about when the hell users can expect their funds back/how the hell they can get their funds back are probably DHS as neither Dwolla nor Wells Fargo has any control over when those funds are released.

Well they are allowed to at least say it's happened. It's not like the Internet doesn't already have a copy of all the pertinent files. If they are going to try and whitewash it, at least they could explain why.

Like they publicly confirmed and apologized for the current SEPA withdrawals delays of 30+ days by now (replies from support don't count). Or they provided updates about the soon-to-be-never-happened transfer of US customers to CoinLab. Or about the announced changes to the trading engine. Or what caused last downtime. Or...

I'm not even sure why I say "they". To me it looks more like a one-man show. Running the same old storyline, season after season.

When they have legal issues I think they're not allowed to go public on that.

They are allowed, it's just not smart to do it

Because they don't want to shake confidence?

Well that doesn't seem to be working all that well

It's a trap. MtGox has removed all info about DHS and Dwolla. They are withholding all information. I smell something fishy in here.

Because they've finally gotten a hold of someone at the Baker&McKenzie offices ? :-)
Because they decided to silently cover it with their pile of cash ?

Who knows ?

I just noticed Mt.Gox pulled their statements about the DHS involvement in their Dwolla account, both from their site and from Facebook. Anybody know why this is?
