Tell if im wrong, but is the only way to transfer USD from mt.gox to btc-e, effectively, is to use okpay ?

Bit instant, is a no go now as they dont list btc-e in the pay too....

The trick is to fund your btc-e with cash buy coins there & sell at gox.

ouch
wonder why bitinstant stopped doing btc-e

Because BTCe is run by a bunch of shady fucks.

Latest oddity was chatmods on BTCe telling everyone to buy from RUC_BTC a week ago while BTCe already discontinued it. Anyone calling out chatmods and posted BTCe newslink saying RUC no longer trading was banned for 7 days. Page was removed 2 days after.

Stay away.

So Gox, which comes across in interviews as a SNL skit...
John Belushi's "Samurai Exchange"...
Effectively has no meaningful competitor.

With $1 billion in play, I find this amazing.

What are the OKPay costs for doing this because I thought it was only 1%

If you're moving $$ from MTGox to buy coins at BTC-e via OKpay:

1% Fee from MTGox to transfer to OKPay
0.5% Fee from OKPay for internal transfer at OKPay (MTGox's OKPay account to yours)
ANOTHER 0.5% for internal transfer from your OKPay account to BTC-e's OKPay account
2% Fee from BTC-e to fund BTC-e from OKPay

So if you transfer $200 using that method, you'll end up with approx. $192 at BTC-e.

yeah, was trying to find a quick/cheap way to do it, its like 115 btc-e -> 128 mtgox atm

I guess the reason btc-e is so low is because people are struggling todo arbitrage atm

not what i want....
was looking at doing some arbitrage while the difference was so high Cheesy

I've done that before, but tbh once you pay a percentage for every transaction to and from OKPay, it's hardly worth it.

Saying that, if you already have $$ over at BTC-e, then buy your bitcoins there and send them directly to MTGox, the fee is only 0.01BTC.

The only effective way is sending BTC to your btc-e account.
