$400+ million (or whatever the going rate is now) is a lot of money to try to "pay back". Cheaper to just start your own new exchange. And I am sure there is a lot of investments out there that are less risky.

A Great Time to Start Something!

Change the name? (not just "Gox", but a totally new name) ?
MtGox is a famous "brand", but the negatives are HUGE.

It's a tough call on whether to change the name, imo.
