Mtgox withdrawal is a very long process
NEVER trade on mtgox. Withdrawals (fiat & bitcoins) are just not happening.
Anyone know how coinbase is about withdrawls? Sounds like MtGox is not a fun experience.
Dude it took me a month to get my 1.4 BTC out of there!
A couple of times they asked me to send in my verification stuff again. Saying the ones I had sent were out of date... They weren't! I thought it was some sort of delaying technique. Why, I don't know.
I started sending messages everyday. I know this just goes to clogging up their system and actually I then just got a lot of emails telling me they had merged my requests. Like why not just sort the matter rather than waste time merging my emails!!!
Anyway eventually they verified me (whether this was due to my email harassing technique who knows?) and ten minutes later I had withdrawn my BTC's.
A mate has been waiting months to get fiat out!

I placed three withdrawals from MtGox in mid to late November and still haven't received a wire transfer into my bank account. I am aware that there is a backlog due to banking issues and the holiday from Dec 24 through Jan 6, but can anybody tell me that they actually have received a wire transfer withdrawal from Gox? How long did it take? Was there anything you were able to do to speed up the process?
I may just cancel the withdrawal, buy coins, and transfer them the fuck out, but would like to know if there is a glimmer of hope that I might actually receive my funds.
Any information appreciated. I did see the thread about this but cannot post there.

This is standard practice with Gox. Avoid at all costs. No idea how they're still in business.
Too many people have been claiming to have issue with Gox. Transferring money out can be a nightmare and is not really recommended. It could take 1 month plus to receive.
